A short drive away there’s a Nature reserve, play barn, golf, tennis, fishing & a little zoo as well as Blyton ice cream & racetrack. A little stream with ducks is in the next village. The back of the property is surounded by lovely little cottage gardens. You have lovely views of the countryside from the first floor of the property. We have taken a great deal of care and detail to our two-bedroom cottage with the ultimate aim to be able to offer you a wonderful stay.

Great for walking, rambling and mountain bikers. Local village pub nearby and the market town of Retford a very short drive . Kingfishers literally beneath the lodge !

Sleepover with Miniature horse Basil

Basils Barn is situated on the grounds of a 17th century manor, surrounded by a picturesque 60 acre estate. The bedroom is directly attached to Basils stable, where there is a doorway in between the two spaces. In the paddocks we also have a herd of Highland cows, Hebridean sheep, horses, pigs, chickens and Norwegian Forrest cats. Our animals are mostly rescued and all of our animals are kept strictly as pets.
