Monthly Rentals in Wheeler County

It's a great place to stay. The town of Spray is just outside the front door, while from the great room or back deck you're right on the bank of the John Day River, with little sign of town and a view miles down the valley! I found the listing a little unclear on bedrooms. There's one generously large bedroom with its own bath. A second bedroom shares a bath with the den which has a pull-out sofa bed (fine for our grandkid, but not up to the standard of the other comfortable beds). We'll stay here again next time we're in eastern Oregon.

This charming residence is exactly the peaceful kind of getaway my family and I had in mind. From Bonnie’s home it is easy to get to Painted Hills, John Day River, and many other get trails/sights. What really sealed the deal for me with booking the trip here was how accommodating the house is for children. We have an almost 2 year old and keeping her entertained can be tricky. They had a closet full of great toys! It was nice not having to worry about packing a bunch of extra toys for my kid. Looking forward to a future stay.

It was a fun experience! We enjoyed the creek and the cabin. They were very considerate and thoughtful with items and how everything was explained and organized. We can’t wait to recommend to family and friends as well as come back!

Would highly recommend this place as ‘home’ for exploring this area. Worked perfectly for my son, my dog, and me to have a fun-filled long weekend. The host gave great instructions, the place was very cute and clean, it had great views of the area for sitting outside and enjoying a meal or sunset, and the hosts graciously stocked some snacks and waters and coffee to help us get started. I would absolutely stay here again if in the area.
