We had a great time staying here! Clean, modern, fully stocked home just as described in the listing and photos. The sunsets over the water are indescribable. Relaxing hot tub, wonderful outdoor space, lovely campfires, and comfortable bed and bath rooms made our trip stress free and extremely enjoyable. We barely left the property - we felt right at home. Our point of contact host, Ana, was very responsive and communicative. Would definitely recommend! Look forward to booking again in the future! Thank you for a vibey holiday weekend!

We loved out time at this Bayside home. My boys spent outside upon hours at the little private beach, where the water doesn't really get deep for quite a ways and the waves were never very rough. it was perfect for them. we all enjoyed the hot tub, kayaks, comfortable beds. My personal favorite was the hammock right by the water, listening to nothing but the waves and the calls of the ospreys that made the area their home. Forget the overly built up touristy areas and give this place a try. You will not regret it.

Hays Beach House was the perfect home base for my group of 10 sailors. We were able to comfortably sleep, relax in the hot tub, and cook enough to feed a small army. The beds are comfy, the kitchen is well stocked, and the sunrises here are stunning. Tim is a friendly and helpful host and overall the experience was nothing but pleasant.

This is a really nice getaway that is peaceful and serene. The home is older, but has some nice updates. I am one that appreciates a home with character. It is in a secluded area, so at night its gets really dark in the hot tub area which we made good use of. Waking up to views of the lake was my favorite part of the day. I was sad when the sun started to go down. There are neighbors, but the houses aren't very close to each other. It is located in a small town so there aren't many food options. The restaurant we went to wasn't very good, so I'd highly recommend cooking for your stay or bringing food. That's what we did. We cooked our meals and grilled. It was fantastic. Four of us stayed there comfortably. Two couples. Overall we had a nice 3 days and I'd highly recommend.

Our stay in this home was such a treat! We enjoyed utilizing the kayaks to boat around in Chesapeake Bay. The hot tub was an absolute delight, perfect for evening stargazing, saw lots of shooting stars, and could see the water of the bay from the hot tub. We also enjoyed doing November cold plunges from the hot tub to the pool. While the living room is not expansive, it fit our needs for family game & movie nights. The bed linens were so comfortable, and Lori was beautifully responsive & friendly when we would reach out with a question. We also enjoyed the nearby Sandy beaches.

We wanted a retreat from busy life and a place to all come together and this place did not disappoint. We enjoyed crabbing and fishing every day and throughout our five night stay we were amazed at all this place had to offer. Beds were comfortable and kitchen had all the necessities.

Great stay for a relaxing weekend getaway! There were a lot of thoughtful touches and features throughout the home that were much appreciated. All rooms and linens were spotless and smelled nice. The home is on a large property with plenty to do; our family enjoyed kayaking, croquet in the yard, fun in the game room, time in the inflatable hot tub, and taking in the views. We would return!

My husband and I had an absolutely wonderful time and the home played a big part in this. I was so impressed with all the extras that I just never see in other homes. From the moment we walked in, we were blown away by how beautiful and thoughtfully designed the space was - every detail with stylish, comfortable, and impeccably clean. What really stood out, though was how well stocked everything was. The kitchen had every tool and appliance we could possibly need, there were plenty of fresh towels, extra blankets, and even small touches like coffee, toiletries that made our stay so easy and enjoyable, and very dog friendly! We had a truly wonderful stay at this Airbnb! The house was nice, cozy, and felt like a home away from home, which made it easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The view was absolutely breathtaking—we found ourselves simply gazing out and soaking it all in. A highlight of our trip was the time we spent fishing on the beach; it was peaceful, fun, and made for some unforgettable memories. What made our stay even better was the warm and welcoming family next door. They were incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with the few questions we had. This is our second time staying at Sunset Haven— appropriately named. Gorgeous sunsets and weather was perfect. Great and considerate communication with Terri. House was pristine and had every thing you could need. We will be back! Thank you Terri!

We had a great day wonderful views of the river. Love the screened in porch and the swing and the beds were super comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed in my family loved fishing off the dock.

Great getaway place, super peaceful, and quiet. Beautiful views. Just a few helpful tips for your visit …might want to bring tin foil, plastic wrap, etc. We didn’t care for the taste of the tapwater, may want to bring your own. Matches for the grill were found in the utility room. Shed had plenty of extra space to store our 2 bikes, could fit 3-4. Highly recommend, we would definitely stay here again!!

Incredible stay on a beautiful property. It’s quiet, private, VERY well maintained and just awesome. I truly hope to stay at this location again in the future because it was that great! You can tell the history in the cottage yet it’s updated and cozy. Also I’ve NEVER stayed at a location so clean!!!! From the cottage itself to the grounds, everything was very well taken care of.

quiet get away spot- very quiet. No direct access to sand/water; just a view - (we knew that going in)- you have to walk a little to get a small little public beach area...but thats not why we went. Just to get away for a weekend from city noise; the place was great. walked dog off leash.

Our stay at this property was truly an amazing getaway. The breathtaking views and stunning sunrises from the porch were a daily delight. The home is exactly as described and absolutely beautiful. We felt like we were at home. Each room is uniquely decorated. The doors opening up from the upstairs living room to the porch outside with a comfortable couch was so wonderful. We enjoyed the quietness Beach Music offered. We look forward to coming back soon one day.

Wayne was a awesome host and Our stay was great very peaceful and relaxing. We were able to catch a lot of fish off the dock, as well as seeing Deers the house is cozy and as always enjoy our time there.

Perfect getaway for two to four to enjoy then Northern Neck and its waters. Spotless and filled with amenities to make your stay comfortable. Very clear directions for everything in the house. Probably the most accommodating host yet in our Airbnb experiences. My wife always has at least one suggestion for the host. Not this time!

We had a wonderful stay at the house, which was both clean and amazing. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and I particularly enjoyed the outdoor shower. The home was well-equipped with everything we needed, making our experience hassle-free. We spent enjoyable moments crabbing on the pier, and we found that everyone we encountered on the island was friendly and laid-back.

This is a great place if your family is looking for a beach get away. The fishing pier is large and can accommodate multiple fishing poles. The crabbing was also great! We caught so many crabs that we had crabs everyday. The large dining table and screened porch was perfect for family lunches/dinners. Rangeley (host) was also very responsive and made sure our stay was comfortable. I would highly recommend this place!

We had a wonderful long weekend here! The house is well-equipped and David was even able to secure fishing and crabbing gear so our two kids could try to catch dinner. It is a quiet street of cottages with friendly neighbors in a gorgeous location - the view is so calming. We enjoyed exploring the local area (love the coffee shop and brewery in Montross), kayaking, swimming, and relaxing on the big screened porch. A feature here that you don’t always have at the shore is a great sandy beach! Can’t wait to come back for another getaway.

Absolutely beautiful spot to stay at. Had a really enjoyable time, was very peaceful and relaxing. The house also had a very home like feel to it, and had plenty of supplies already there. Chuck was very helpful with any questions and also provided information on nearby places to eat and buy supplies. Definitely recommend if you want a nice, quiet place to stay for a bit that is out of the way and private.
