very convenient location + responsive host :)

Stayed here for a month while waiting to move into our apartment. Place was clean and spacious. Even when we found there wasn't a can opener, Jamal was responsive and purchased and delivered it to us. Only hesitation I would have is if you are trying to work remotely with more than one person, the halls can echo and there are not work spaces in the rooms.

The apartment is located in the basement of Bennet and Jo-Lin's house. It is a very nice place with all the amenities described in the ad. Bennet and his family are friendly and nice people. Always ready to respond to any need. You will have an apartment with one bathroom (with a large shower), kitchen, space to relax with sofa and TV, bed and small walk-in closet. Although it was winter with cold temperatures the house was always very well heated. The entrance is private and easy to access. Everything is very well organized. The location is perfect if you need/want to visit UChicago. To get to the center is very easy thanks to the many possibilities: bus, metro, train. When I’ll come back to Chicago I really hope this apartment will be available.

Michele is an amazing host! I just needed a place to stay for a couple days while I attended a nearby conference at the University of Chicago, and this was a great choice. It was a quick uber up to UChicago, and I could get to a metro station easily if I wanted to go up to the loop. Michele's place was immaculate, and I enjoyed all the amenities she offered. She and her husband were hospitable and engaged me in conversation that made me feel more welcome in Chicago and less isolated from the city. For those traveling for either business or pleasure, I would definitely recommend staying with Michele!
