Centuries ago, a castle called ‘Huis Ulft’ was located on the premises. It used to belong to the sister of one of the Netherlands most important historical figures. Nowadays, the location still resembles a fairytale’s beauty. The cottage is comfortably equipped with facilities as a large private terrace, multiple unique bedrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen.

From bedroom one you can walk straight into the garden. The living room and kitchen are adjacent to the attractive and sheltered veranda with hammock.

The landscape invites you to beautiful hikes and cycling tours. If you want a little more action, e.g. for the little ones, you are very well taken care of in the nearby Kernwasserwunderland. The cities of Kleve and Emmerich with a very nice Rhine promenade are very easy to reach on foot in 1 hour or by bike in 0.5 hours.

In the same building we run an art gallery, which can be viewed.

Our apartment is a small, attached cottage with terrace and garden. It is located in a quiet residential area in the center of Raesfeld-Erle, a 360-soul village on the edge of the Ruhr area. Here you combine Münsterland flair with everything that the big metropolises offer. In Erle stands the oldest oak in Germany. A chestnut avenue, the rustic schnapps distillery and the old windmill also invite you to cycle and walk on numerous hiking routes.

Its history dates back to 1844. In 2010, the forest house on the Wupper was lovingly renovated according to modern and at the same time ecological standards. You will be staying in a former forge from + -1870 in a beautiful, historical and very quiet area. This "Smidse" has been converted into a modern, cozy, very complete and spacious home. Extremely suitable as a base for various natural or sporting excursions, or as your "home away from home" when you temporarily need a 2nd home. Outside is a modest terrace overlooking an old, uninhabited presbytery. Wonderfully quiet!
