Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Xeropotamos

We enjoyed a fantastic four days in Aris’ place, the views of the plateau and mountains are just beautiful! We felt right at home, and it was lovely to have Aris and his wife physically there at check in, a rarity these days! The images really don’t do this place justice, it is up some winding roads but we were prepared for that having visited the plateau in 2012. We can’t recommend staying here more, we really wish we’d have booked a longer stay! Aris had a fantastic hire car recommendation too, which was also great, and we had some amazing recommendations from them too. Thank you very much Aris!

nous avons passé une belle semaine dans le logement de Maria. La terrasse couverte est la plus belle pièce de la maison avec une vue magnifique sur la mer. La plage est à moins de 5 min à pied, par contre attention, pour les personnes qui ont des difficultés à marcher, la pente est plutôt raide à remonter. Maria est très réactive et répond très vite aux messages. agia pelagia reste une petite station balnéaire très bien situé pour visiter le Nord de l'île. Belle découverte

השהות בבית של ג'ורג'יה היא הרבה מעבר למקום לישון בו. הבית יפיפה, מעוצב באהבה וכבוד למסורת המקומית והמשפחתית , כל פרט ורהיט נמצאים שם באהבה. מהריהוט המשופץ, ספרי האמנות, המטבח המקורי, ועד המיטות והמזרונים המפנקים. החצר הפנימית מאד נעימה ומטופחת. ג'ורג'יה מארחת נדיבה באנושיות הלבבית שלה, סיפקה לנו המלצות לסביבה, עזרה לנו בנדיבות רבה עם צ'ק אין מוקדם והיתה זמינה לכל שאלה או התיעצות. בית ואשה פשוט מעוררים השראה

We can highly recommend this accommodation. It's tucked away in a very secluded spot, which makes it wonderfully peaceful. At the same time, you can reach restaurants and a mini market in just a few minutes. A car is essential! The garden is stunning. The biodiversity is incredible. There's always something new to discover. The house is quite small and simply furnished, but that was absolutely fine. Everything was clean, and that's what matters most. The long driveway leading to the house can be a bit intimidating—it just slopes down without any railing or guard. But that’s just part of the Cretan charm. Giannis was always very friendly and helpful—thank you for everything! We also got to know the neighboring family and even visited them. Such kind people. And the animals! Aphroditi the horse, a peacock, chickens, and turkeys—our daughter loved them. Overall a great experience. We were very happy and would definitely recommend it. Who knows—maybe we’ll be back in a few years!

Mai 2025, 10 Nächte Aufenthalt zu dritt (2 Erwachsene, 1 Kleinkind). Die Villa ist wirklich traumhaft. Wunderschöner Blick aufs Meer und die Bucht. Sie bietet sehr viel Platz auch für mehr Personen (2 Paare, 4-6 Freunde, 2 Familien) und für längere Aufenthalte (Stauraum, Schränke und Regale, etc.). Die Ausstattung entspricht der Beschreibung und bietet, auch in der Küche, alles was man brauchen kann. Unser Highlight war die überdachte Terrasse. Unser Flug wurde kurzfristig vorverlegt. Ein deutlich früherer Check-In war in unserem Fall überhaupt kein Problem. Stelios ist ein sehr freundlicher, hilfsbereiter und engagierter Gastgeber. Wir empfehlen Ihn und seine Villa ohne Einschränkung weiter. Kleine Einschränkung: die Unterkunft ist etwas ab vom Schuss bzw. die Region ist etwas zersiedelt (hauptsächlich wegen der Geographie des Geländes). Ohne eigenes Auto wird es etwas schwierig unserer Meinung nach. Einen kostenfreien Parkplatz direkt am Haus gibt es aber.

Matthaios è stato veramente molto gentile ed attento. Sempre a disposizione e, se impossibilitato per qualsiasi evenienza, la madre o la moglie si sono mostrate sempre presenti. La casa è accogliente, tranquilla e vicinissima al mare (50 metri) e accessoriata con tutti i comfort. Facile da raggiungere dall'aereoporto di Heraklion e comoda per raggiungere le belle spiagge vicine. Consigliatissimo.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Ein Traumurlaub mit Freunden – DejaView auf Kreta ist ein echtes Juwel! Wir durften einige unvergessliche Tage im Ferienhaus DejaView verbringen – und es war einfach traumhaft! Das Haus selbst ist modern, stilvoll und mit allem ausgestattet, was man sich wünschen kann. Besonders der großzügige Pool und der atemberaubende Ausblick über die kretische Landschaft bis hin zum Meer haben uns jeden Tag aufs Neue begeistert. Was diesen Ort aber wirklich besonders macht, ist der Gastgeber. Vom ersten Moment an war er unglaublich herzlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam – nach kürzester Zeit fühlte es sich an, als hätten wir einen Freund vor Ort gefunden. Ob Tipps für Ausflüge, Restaurantempfehlungen oder einfach nur ein nettes Gespräch – er war immer für uns da und hat unseren Aufenthalt zu etwas ganz Besonderem gemacht. DejaView ist der perfekte Ort zum Abschalten, Genießen und Wohlfühlen. Wir kommen definitiv wieder.

Our stay was absolutely stunning. Stavros is a very welcoming person and contacted us prior to our stay with all important information. The moment we were sitting in our rental car at the airport and needed to find out the address our location he had already sent it five minutes before. Very proactive - Stavros can read his guests minds! :D The house with pool is an absolute dream come true and the village centre seems to have popped directly out of a movie with a fantastic and creatively furnished restaurant that spans across the entire place. My warmest recommendation to stay at this beautiful place!

Sehr schöne neue Villa, mit einem tollen Poolbereich. Eine Outdoorküche mit Spielbereich für die Kinder ist auch vorhanden im unteren Teil der Anlage. Gute Möglichkeit für Unternehmungen. Nicht weit zum Strand.

We had a lovely 2 week stay at the villa. The view and facilities were outstanding. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful. I would recommend the villa to all families and groups. We were supplied with everything we needed including cots and child safety gates. Thank you for making our stay so relaxing and checking whether we needed anything.

Nikos' place is incredible. It totally transports you to another time and lets you absorb the beauty of the Cretan landscape and nature. We noticed something new every day. Having the pool with stunning views of the mountains and sea, a well-equipped kitchen and an olive tree shaded seating area to eat in, meant we rarely had to leave the place! A holiday to remember forever for us. Thank you

The pictures don’t do this view justice. It’s breathtaking! The home is gorgeous and the outdoor space is wonderful. It was too cold for us to swim but we still enjoyed time at the beach. Most of the immediate area was already shut down for the season during our stay but there is a lovely area about a mile walk away. We spent a lot of time there enjoying the coffee shops and restaurants. The house and rooms were fantastic and there was more than enough space for everyone to relax. The host was amazing and went above and beyond to help us when we left some glasses at a restaurant. Thank you so much for a great stay!!

Beautiful place, great for families. Lots of toys and even a potty for the kids! Cleaner came mid week which was not necessary but so great. Beach is a 3 min walk. Really need a car to get there which was fine for us! Thanks for everything.

We just loved everything about this airbnb!!!!! The house was AMAZING, incredible views, incredible features, we went to the pool, did barbecue, breakast with ocean view, everything and more we expected! Konstations is THE BEST host we ever got!! Not only he was hiper reactive, attentious ( he made sure to got us on the airport so we arrive well, his mom cooked us food because they would imagine we would arrive late and hungry), incredibly generous and nice!! We have many tips and support during the full trip ! Everything and more that we expected! Thank you again

Nous avons passé deux jours à Zaros et nous avons adoré l’endroit. Vivi est une hôte exceptionnelle, très accueillante et d’une grande gentillesse. Son restaurant Vegara est vraiment sympa, avec une ambiance agréable et une cuisine savoureuse. Elle propose même des cours de cuisine pour ceux qui souhaitent découvrir les spécialités locales. On s’est senties comme chez quelqu’un de la famille, entourées de bonnes ondes positives. C’était une très belle découverte, une expérience authentique et chaleureuse. Nous recommandons Vivi à 100 %, les yeux fermés 😊

Jekaterina hat uns sehr herzlich und super flexibel empfangen. Unser Flug hatte abends Verspätung und dann waren unsere Koffer auch noch weg. Sie hat sofort ihre Hilfe angeboten und super schnell auf fragen reagiert. Sie macht das ganze Management rund ums Haus ganz, ganz toll! Das Haus ist genauso wie in der Beschreibung. Eine fantastische Außenanlagen und in 3 min ist man am Strand. Wir bedanken uns recht herzlich bei Jekaterina, dass sie unser Host war und schicken ganz liebe Grüße nach Kreta.

Great house for our group of two families with four total children. Private and spacious, the home is away from the city on a hill. Fotini met us to lead us to the home and give us a small orientation, she was quite helpful and we loved our time there.

We had a relaxing and pleasant stay at Despina’s lovely place. The flat is spacious, well-equipped, and tastefully decorated. Ligaria is a charming little settlement nestled in a small bay perfect for a peaceful getaway. Despina is a warm and welcoming host; she even stocked the fridge with breakfast items for us. If you have a car, the location is ideal, with easy access to the highway for day trips.

We've spent two great nights at Filia's place as a couple. A bottle of wine and raki waited for us. The house is really cosy and has everything that may be needed during your stay!

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in der Tiny Villa :) Es war alles sehr sauber und gepflegt, die Kommunikation war sehr angenehm und einfach, als wir fragen hatten mussten wir nicht lange auf eine Antwort warten. Außerdem kamen sehr oft Katzen vorbei die sehr liebevoll waren und sich bestimmt freuen würden wenn man sie ab und zu füttern würde :)

Une vue imprenable dans un lieu très bien équipé et confortable, il ne manque rien. Un environnement entouré de montagnes et un beau jardin qu’on peut utiliser. Il y a plusieurs activités intéressantes dans la région en plus de la ville d’Heraklion qui se situe à 20 minutes seulement en auto. Les propriétaires habitent en haut mais ils sont à la fois très accueillants et très discrets. Un grand merci spécial à Katy pour sa gentillesse mais aussi pour toutes ses attentions. À notre arrivée, nous avons reçu des petits plats, etc… et avons eu l’occasion de goûter la soupe traditionnelle préparée par notre hôte à l’occasion de la fête de Pâques. Bathroom modern but doors difficult use. Parking difficult to find. Needed locals to help us find the opening to the apartment. Host described opening but was confusing when you follow the map. Apartment very clean and comfortable.

Staying in La Casita by Kleoniki was the best choice I could have made! The accomodation is very beautiful, clean, inspiring, has a lot of suggestive elements and It makes you feel at home from the first minutes! In addition, I really appreciated finding welcome food and drinks! The access street is very calm, and it is a crossroads of a main road, which have all the services you may need. It Is located less than 10 minutes walking from the port and less than 15 from Morosini Plaza. I really would recommend La Casita to everyone! Thank you Kleoniki, hope to come back soon!

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Aufenthalt im Gaea Loft! Der Check-in ist völlig problemlos verlaufen. Titos hat uns bei unserer Ankunft gleich mit frisch gepresstem Orangensaft, Gebäck und frischen Eiern von seinen Hühnern begrüßt. Er ist ein ausgesprochen liebenswürdiger und sympathischer Mann, dem der gelungene Aufenthalt seiner Gäste sehr am Herzen liegt. Die Unterkunft entspricht genau den Bildern. Sie ist sauber, geräumig und und extrem gut ausgestattet (Gewürze, Öl, Kofferwaage, Kühlpacks, usw). Jeder Raum Wohnraum ist mit einer Klimaanlage versehen, die blitzschnell den Raum auf gewünschte Temperatur herunterkühlt. Der Ausblick ist wunderschön, man kann den Sonnenaufgang und Sonnenuntergang auf dem Balkon genießen. Das Loft ist über eine separate Haustür erreichbar. Man hat stets vollste Privatsphäre. Wir können das Gaea Loft jedem weiterempfehlen!!
