Farmstay holiday rentals in Yarra River

We had a wonderful stay at the cozy cottage and our son loved the farm animals and surrounding gardens. The space was warm, comfortable and very clean. We loved collecting fresh eggs as fruits from the garden in the mornings, what a special treat!

lovely and spacious home which was spotless and well maintained. The hostess was lovely and ready to help at all times. Even though it wasn't strawberry season the strawberries were divine and we were able to pick as many as we liked. The oranges were also quite good! Better than store bought ones. The only downside was the weather.

Dawns place was such a treat! We were 2 families and had plenty of space to sleep, relax and play. The strawberry fields were a highlight and they're the best strawberrieswe've ever had! We all loved the spa and sauna too. A perfect way to relax and escape the cold weather. Highly recommend!!

We loved our stay! Beautiful space to enjoy for the weekend. The goats, fireplace and view from back deck were highlights. Hopefully we will be back soon! 😊

We had a wonderful weekend away at Will's Wonderland. Will was very accommodating and helpful during our stay, provided plenty of information on local activities and places to eat. We had opportunities to feed the animals on the farm. Will was also kind enough to provide bacon, eggs, milk, butter and cheese in the fridge. The accommodation was clean and kept warm during the colder nights with Central heating and a split system on the ground floor. I would definitely recommend coming back. Thank you Will for a welcoming and wonderful stay.

We wholeheartedly recommend this cozy haven to anyone looking to take a break from the busy pace of life and the hustle and bustle of the city. You are such a warm and welcoming host and it’s clear that you’ve maintained this beautiful cottage with great care and love. The view from the master bedroom is truly spectacular..it honestly can’t get any better 🙂. All amenities were thoughtfully provided and it was a delight to simply cook our favorite meals in-house and relax. The firewood experience at both spots around the cottage was such a unique and comforting touch. We genuinely enjoyed every moment and have decided to make this our annual retreat to celebrate our anniversary and my husband’s birthday. Thank you again for making us feel so special. A very cozy place with all the necessary! A short drive to the town for good food and coffee! Check-in was easy and Kerrie welcomed us and made sure we were well:)

such a beautiful stay with an outdoor bath, firepit out the back with tables and chairs to relax and an extremely comfortable bed. located only a few km from cathedral ranges national Park and lake mountain, its an ideal spot to spend the night after a day's hike. Or perfect to just spend the day lazing around the house, with the fireplace out the back and izzy the black lab to keep you company. absolutely loved it

I couldn’t recommend this place more! From the moment we arrived we felt right at home, with such a beautiful place, we were in awe from the moment we stepped foot outside. It was such a relaxing, comfortable stay! Every details of Helen’s cabin had been thought about and put a smile on our faces! Genuinely a place we didn’t want to leave!

What a wonderful and comfortable stay! This cabin felt like a true home away from home. Everything was clean and thoughtfully arranged, making our visit incredibly easy and relaxing. The host was exceptionally helpful and made sure we had everything we needed. We truly enjoyed our time here and highly recommend it!

Adrienne had been a great host, v responsive when we need any help. We requested for more match sticks at night and her children delivered it almost immediately! appreciate it! and her house was amazing, super nice view and a place for us to recharge and rest. And the kangaroos was a bonus, my girl was super excited when she see so many kangaroos jumping around.. Will be back again if we visit Melbourne.. Beautiful stay on Paramoor winery. The cottage was comfortable, warm with heating and a wood-burner, and the property is really peaceful. 10 minutes drive from Kyneton, Lancefield and Woodend, and wineries. The wine at Paramoor was delicious - we had a lovely tasting with Sam. Thank you!

A little haven in the country. So peaceful and quiet and just what the doc ordered. Beautifully appointed, lovely and warm as the rain lashed down outside and comms with Genevieve were excellent. Everything was top notch and we’d highly recommend a stay here with the Roos for company!

Emily and Aaron’s cottage was exactly as described. They were also lovely to communicate with and provided us with what we needed quickly. It was the perfect place for our first getaway as a family of three. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and can’t wait to come back! The goats were a bonus ☺️

Enough of indoor games n books :-) for a peaceful read, sitting with birds in the balcony overlooking the town, the cloud clad hills. would love to visit in spring /summer again. thank you, Phil.

Goldie Views is pure class. Spacious, luxurious, and comfy enough to make you question returning home. The attention to detail is unreal—everything from the plush flooring to comfy throws. You can tell David and Georgina thought into every detail. It’s the kind of place where everything just works—so you don’t have to. An absolute treat. Book it before someone else nabs your weekend.

We loved our stay at Poplars Cottage. It's located on a beautiful property with private surrounds. The residence is a well maintained original 1930s cottage with some modern touches (kitchen, bathroom, and upgraded fireplace). We also enjoyed walking in nature and engaging with some of the horses on the property. Yasmine is a wonderful host and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. We'll definitely be back!

Perfect Birthday gateway trip 🥰 I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful, cozy farmhouse! From the moment I arrived, I felt right at home. The house is tastefully decorated with modern comforts, making it the perfect mix of country living and convenience. The surroundings are peaceful and scenic—perfect for morning coffee on the porch or evening walks under the stars. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked, and every room was spotless. Our hosts Ann and Kevin were warm, responsive, and thoughtful, even leaving a welcome treat like brownie ,local bread and wine . Whether you’re looking for a relaxing getaway or a base to explore the countryside, this farmhouse is a perfect choice. I can’t wait to come back with my friends and family again . This Farmstay was one of our favourite places that we have stayed not only in Victoria but across the various states and countries to which we have travelled. Veronica has really thought through the guest experience and has everything covered that you could think of. The surrounds and views are stunning, the interior of the property is so well done and the animals amazing (bird life, farm animals and native wildlife (especially Wally the wombat)). If anything, the property was better than expected from the photos. Veronica was the perfect balance of helpful and available, whilst respecting our privacy. It is the sort of place where you are central enough to many places to keep you busy or you can be content just staying at the property, doing very little and enjoying the spa bath. We are already planning our next visit for later this year!

A perfect stay for our mixed family of older parents and siblings. Plenty of spaces to be together, or have our own time. Even before checking in, we were treated with kindness from the staff. Upon walking in, house was even better than we expected and definitely gives that ‘wow’ factor! Wish we could’ve been there even longer to really soak in the surroundings. The views are stunning and so peaceful. Main bedroom and ensuite was something else too! We felt a bit like royalty. What a great find! Beyond grateful & hope to return for a peaceful getaway with friends.

Our stay here was incredibly peaceful—exactly what we needed. We loved walking around the farm, exploring the trail to the dam (with their beautiful dog Harley as our guide!), and relaxing by the fireplace. The sunset views are absolutely stunning, and it’s the perfect place to unwind if you’re looking to escape the noise of busy roads and towns. A special thank you to our wonderful hosts, who were so friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our stay. It’s clear they’ve put a lot of love into creating this peaceful retreat. We truly appreciated having them nearby—it made the experience even more special. Also, their dog Harley is super friendly and will greet you and also bark goodbye when you leave ☺️ We’ll definitely be recommending this place to our family and friends!
