Family-friendly holiday rentals in Yuba River

Our family of 10- 6 adults, 3 under 4 and an infant enjoyed Catherine's amazing place. She was great answering my questions and always available, the gathering areas were large and accommodated all of us. The adults enjoyed our morning coffee on the porch and the kids loved the toy and book area under a gable on the 2nd floor. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. A Victorian Rose is so close to the downtown and everywhere we needed to be for our Nephews wedding. Thanks Catherine for hosting us!

This property is a literal slice of heaven. It's so peaceful and magical and feels worlds away when only being a few minutes to town. The house was one of the most comfortable airbnbs we have stayed in – and we have stayed in many! Our whole family enjoyed it. Great for adults, kids and lots of room for your dog run and explore. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We rented Sharen’s place for a family weekend with 7 guests. Check in was easy. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of space. The additional bunkhouses were great. We felt right at home. We easily cooked all meals in the stocked kitchen. The house is next to the lake and the fishing was incredible! We couldn’t believe how many fish we caught, including several good sized bass. We spent most of our time by the lake and met some very friendly neighbors. Note: bring bug spray. I would’ve stayed an extra week if I could have. Definitely deserves the title of Guest Favorite.

Janet was a wonderful host. She was incredibly responsive and made the weekend so easy. We loved her place, too!

I knew the house would be rustic, so I brought my camping gear. I did not need them. The kitchen was well equipt. I could cook anything I needed to make on the hot plate or in the microwave/toaster. There was also a smoker and like 5 BBQs. Do not be worried about cooking. The location is awesome. It is so close to so many things.. or you can just hang out on the property. We spent a day on the property and a day exploring. We spent every night in the hot tub. It was glorious. The bed is very comfortable!

#2 One of the nicest Airbnbs we’ve ever stayed at! Peggy was a gracious and thoughtful host—she greeted us on arrival, showed us around, and stayed in touch throughout our stay. We brought our puppy and arranged a sitter for the wedding weekend, but Peggy even helped cover a gap and let our pup play with her dog when the sitter had to run out. The fenced yard, private entrance, and peaceful setting made it the most dog-friendly trip we’ve ever had. The home was spotless, the bed and couch were super comfy, and we loved relaxing in the hot tub and on the patio. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the location couldn’t be better—an easy 10-minute walk into charming downtown Nevada City for dinner and breakfast. 10/10—would absolutely stay again!

What a paradise this place is! So peaceful and idyllic. The sauna and hot tub area was the highlight of the stay. And we loved getting body treatments from Shari and Mia!

Husband and I stayed at Dawns place for our anniversary. Our stay was peaceful and private. The view was spectacular. Waking up to that view everyday was like a scene out of a movie. The Moon at night was perfect as well. The pictures on the description was exactly what it was like! Thank you Dawn for opening your home to us!

The workshop was absolutely charming and exceeded all expectations. From the moment we arrived, Gail's personalized welcome signs made my pup and I feel instantly at home. The craftsmanship and attention to detail throughout the space were truly impressive, and the cozy ambience made it even better than the photos. Gail was incredibly attentive and communicative throughout our stay which is always greatly appreciated. Will be coming here again when we're in the area :). I highly recommend the workshop to anyone looking for a cozy retreat.

We really liked this place. Rural, very scenic. The cabin is very well constructed and well maintained. Nice step-in shower. Good kitchen. Bring food. There aren’t many dining choices nearby. The trading post at Dutch Flat is surprisingly well stocked, which is a good thing because the mini-mart/gas station at the Dutch Flat off ramp is the only other place around to get provisions.

Just stayed at this beautiful AirBnB cabin—absolutely stunning! The host has amazing taste in decor, and every detail is thoughtfully planned, from cooking equipment to outdoor candles for keeping bugs away. The breathtaking view and cozy outdoor deck made it easy to relax and count the stars. Plus, the host even provides a self-made handbook with local guides and dog-friendly trail information, which was a big plus for us. Truly a perfect stay!

This apartment was exceptional in every way. It was beautifully decorated with charming artistic features. The sofa was very comfortable, and so was the bed. The location was ideal—just a short walk to downtown Auburn, with an abundance of good restaurants. Carol was great with communication, and she was so thoughtful in providing coffee, cookies, and snack bars. We really enjoyed our stay here and would love to come back again.

Adorable home in the heart of Nevada City. Perfect for a short girls trip while visiting my aunt who is a longtime resident of Nevada City and also celebrating her birthday. The decor is right up our alley. We have driven by this place so many times, wanting to stay the night and it finally happened. Host is very proactive with emails and instructions. We hope to stay at her other location in the future as that is our other frequent vacation destination.

Donna was super responsive and helpful and the place was incredibly comfortable, clean, well stocked and beautiful. I would 100% stay here again. It has everything you need and is so peaceful and quiet but close to town!

We had a great stay at Mary’s guest suite in Grass Valley. The setting is beautiful and peaceful and the location was incredibly convenient to get to the fairgrounds where our band was performing. The house also easily accommodated our five-piece band and luggage. We would definitely stay here again!

This country cottage is centrally located in a peaceful location at the end of a private road. With access to the wine and ale trail as well as the venue for concerts and a farmers market down the road, there was lots to do. We loved the creek and welcoming touches the hosts provided and appreciated their friendly and prompt communication as well as accommodating an earlier check in for us. We recently stayed at Don and Kathy’s beautiful home for our son’s wedding weekend and it was absolutely magical. Don and Kathy were incredibly hospitable, always easy to reach, and made us feel so welcome. The home itself is stunning—truly something to experience. The home is well-appointed and thoughtfully designed, offering both comfort and style for a truly relaxing stay. The surroundings felt straight out of a Hallmark movie, with autumn leaves falling and twinkling Christmas lights creating a festive atmosphere. It was cozy, inviting, and felt just like home. We can't wait to come back and stay here again! Thank you, Don and Kathy, for making our special weekend even more memorable!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful property! There was plenty of space for our entire wedding party, and it was spotless when we arrived. Kathleen was an incredible host — so helpful, responsive, and flexible throughout the whole process, which made everything smooth and stress-free. The property itself is truly unique, with so many interesting historical decorations that gave it so much charm and character. We also loved taking advantage of all the activities available on-site, which made for an unforgettable experience. This wonderful little cabin was a great place to spend a getaway weekend with my son. The peaceful, wooded surroundings provided the relaxing backdrop I was looking for and my son was delighted with the wood burning stove. He discovered that the pine cones that were suggested as fire starters did a great job and he had a great time replenishing their supply from the woods around the cabin.

Suzanne’s cottage is super charming and comfortable! The grounds are gorgeous, the bed is comfy, and there were so many thoughtful touches. She knew it was our anniversary and left a bottle of champagne for us in the fridge, we had our kids with us, so she left smores makings. It’s definitely a small space, but we were there for just one night, and it was fine for our family of 4 with the kids sharing the futon. The new a/c unit kept us cool inside. We had fun watching frogs on the lily pad pond and feeding the chickens. This was a great spot for an overnight getaway, and we will definitely be back!

Omgosh this place is so cute. I came in town to visit family by myself and I felt very safe. I used the pool everyday. I will for sure be back. Very nice and helpful host.

We had a wonderful stay. The pool and hot tub were amazing. There was plenty of room for all of us. The pots and pans were a really nice brand.
