Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Zalakaros

We spent a wonderful week in the little house, which is absolutely baby and dog friendly. We got everything we needed for the everyday life of a one-year-old baby (travel bed, high chair, baby bath, plastic bowls and glasses) and the kitchen is super well equipped. The neighborhood is beautiful, I can only recommend it!

The accommodation is in a great location, Lake Balaton, shops, restaurants nearby. Eszter is very kind and helpful, thank you for everything!

We had a wonderful holiday at Szilvia's place. The house was easy to find. It is located in a very peaceful neighbourhood and has a lovely view of the hill. I really enjoyed sitting on the terrace having a coffee or glass of wine. The house had everything we needed for our stay, everything looked as expected and as advertised. Everything was clean and tidy. Szilvia was very friendly, sympathetic and caring. She prepared a list of recommendations of things to do and places to go in the surrounding area which was very nice and helpful. We visited a few places she recommended and were delighted. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a great time at Balaton. I hope to come back here one day!

We had a very nice stay in Szatta in the cottage of Bence and Bori. It is very tasteful and stylish and decorated with views of beautiful details. You can see the respect for the surroundings, nature and the old house, nothing modernized is distorted, but furnished with selected pieces and supplemented with modern amenities. A great mix. It is indescribably quiet and relaxing. The communication worked great and we also enjoyed the sauna. All in all very nice :) Thanks!

we rented this beautiful house to escape a bit from the city and relax, our decision for this house was just right. The house is situated in a quiet, beautiful area overlooking the green mountains. Whirlpool, sauna as well as everything you need to spend a short or long holiday. Bozica was very nice and always answered our questions quickly and was very easily accessible. 110% recommended and happy to come back :)

Nice and private little house in a quiet area in the beautiful northern Balaton landscape. Very good for hiking and a romantic time, recommended for couples.

Gorgeous few days right on the water in beautiful Balaton. Very comfortable house and garden right on the lake. We enjoyed wading out in the lake with our child. The lake is very shallow (around 3ft) for over 100 meters so you can walk out very far on the mud/sand. I would definitely recommend renting/bringing Stand Up Paddle Boards or an inflatable boat so that you can get out to where the lake is deeper to swim. At the moment, these are not provided by the host. There had been a recent invasion of buzzing non-biting midges (Chironomidae/greenish insects) along the shores of Lake Balaton but they only really came out just after sunset and were fascinating to watch. Incredibly relaxing to wake up and have coffee on the dock. 5 star stay!

The accommodation is great for anyone who enjoys a private peaceful place. We stayed for New Year’s eve and it was nicely peaceful. The instructions were very clear and the house was heated when we arrived. The house is very charming. We travelled with dogs and the fully fenced huge garden was amazing. From the house there are several walking options one can take without having to jump into the car. The host is very responsive and provides clear instructions. All in all it was a very relaxing, peaceful stay we all enjoyed a lot.

We really loved the accommodation. We’ll definitely return here in the future.

We had a super nice, pleasant holiday in this beautiful villa. The house is very well equipped, has a nice terrace and a beautiful garden with many trees, which give the necessary cooling during the hot summer days. (the airconditioners in the bedrooms are also a great added value) The quiet beach is around the corner (approx. 200m) and with the wagon you can easily take all your beach equipment with you. On foot or by bike you will be in the center at the bakery, small supermarket or restaurant. Highly recommended to discover the Balaton and this beautiful region.

This place is a real gem... hidden away, not far from Balaton lake. Great restaurants and facilities nearby! Pool was great, jacuzzi was great. Peter and his wife were lovely and super helpful with great recommendations. We loved staying here and we're very sad to leave!

Nándi said and described everything very well. The accommodation was nice and equipped as described. They were flexible in the opening hours of private wellness. We were able to put the kids down to sleep, and then we were able to have a sauna. The first night we received a private letter and a small gift for the wellness. It was very heartfelt, which makes it more than perfect anyway.

My family and I had an excellent time staying at Marta’s place. The pool, hot tub, ping pong table and foosball table were just some of the highlights. We loved the extensive amount of outdoor living space. Some days we used the outdoor grill and even made a porkolt over the gas burner which was already full of gas for our use. We had a few ants in one of the bedrooms and Marta was quick to send somebody over to rectify the situation. Lucky for us the house had enough bedrooms where this was a non issue. My son accidentally broke the glass of one of the kitchen cabinet doors and Marta was very easy to deal with it. I would highly recommend this place again and would consider staying again if my family and would re visit the Balaton. Thank you Marta for the great stay.

Tamas was a very friendly and helpful host. The apartment was really well equipped and gave us everything we needed. Our dogs really enjoyed the access to the garden. A very pleasant stay

We spent a night with a group of 9 cyclists. Instead of the holiday home we booked, we got another one on the neighboring plot, but it seemed bigger. The owner lived in another house on the property. Upon our arrival, soap and towels were not provided, but we received them upon request. We felt comfortable, there was room for everyone, and the bikes were safe. Arrival and departure were flexible... all this was made easier by the fact that the host was on site. The equipment of the house was only slightly incomplete, there was no dishwashing liquid, soap, towels. There was air conditioning upstairs, and the two bathrooms were great for a party of this size. Its location is excellent, everything was easily accessible within walking distance.

We had a great stay! The place looks exactly like the pictures – clean, cozy, and nicely decorated. The location is fantastic: just a 10-minute walk to the beach, with grocery stores right across the street. Despite being close to a bigger road, the apartment was perfectly quiet, which made it really relaxing. Check-in was super easy, and the host was incredibly kind and communicative – always quick to respond and very helpful. We also really enjoyed the little terrace, perfect for a morning coffee or an evening drink. Highly recommended!

We found everything to our complete satisfaction. A highly recommended accommodation and the same goes for the entertaining hours with the hosts and their beautiful, silent Barsois.

We had a very nice pre-long weekend at Peter and Elle's place. The view is spectacular and the whole are is calm and peaceful, it was perfect for an unwind. The house is small but tidy and cosy. It was perfect for the two of us. Thanks for the stay, Peter and Elle!

A spacious self contained upstairs apartment, with a covered terrace. Clean and well equipped. Friendly hosts and good value for money.

We had a lovely few days and would have liked to stay longer! We were warmly welcomed by the host. Our dog loved it in the large, fenced garden and we had lazing under the fruit trees. The cherries were ripe and we were allowed to eat them from the host. feast! In the neighborhood, there are many restaurants, beaches (Zanca) and, for example, a nice market hall (Topolca). NB: Follow the instructions from the host to get there, Google Maps will send you to the middle of a nearby forest!

Casets in the woods. We were in the smallest. Like camping but better. Well-decorated houses in a wonderful setting. Like in a forest. The houses are essentially the more or less spacious rooms. In our rainy week, the wood-burning stove was perfect, which increased the idyllic feeling of the place. In a small house, the kitchen (with stove and sink) is also heated by a wood-burning stove. Surely on sunny days you can fully enjoy the outdoor setting. Spartan bathroom and shower but they do their own. No hot water. If you're looking for a quiet and relaxing setting away from the city routine, this place is for you and regenerates you. I think everything was even more perfect because we were lucky to have no more guests in other houses. The nm owner is very kind and available for any need in a timely manner.
