There is a possibility to get from the house to the top of the city wall, where there is a small sitting area. Luka's Hut, our beautiful eco-cabin, sits on the banks of the Ganzendiep river in Overijssel. Huge windows provide stunning Dutch views onto the river, the grass meadows with cows & sheep and a picturesque village in the distance. The river is quiet water so have a sauna & a swim, take out the kayak, big canoe or SUPboard. We have a heatpump for the floor heating, and used upcycled items such a charming wood-stove, a fantastic bath, a fully-equipped kitchen, bikes, a firepit & trampoline.

Our home is a completely renovated dike house from 1889, and your room has beautiful views of the Gouwzee and in the evening, you can see the lights of Monnickendam. After a good night's rest, you will enjoy your own wonderful waterfront terrace. Your apartment has its own entrance and is on the second floor of our beautiful house. Be aware that there is NO kitchen.

The house has two floors, downstairs the living room with a modern kitchen with terrace and an upstairs with the bedroom with a freestanding bath. Het staat op een kleinschalig recreatiepark, waar wij ook een ander huisje hebben onder de naam Familie Buitenhuys. Je slaapt in een volledig huisje met vloerverwarming en alle comfort. In de master bedroom staat een bad bij het raam, met uitzicht over de weilanden. Vanuit het bad zie je Nederland in zijn puurste vorm. Licht, eigenzinnig en speels ingedeeld. Maximaal 4 personen + baby.
