We would definitely recommend Baugh Fell. We stayed as a family of 4 with teenagers . Had some precious family time with no distractions! The property is immaculate and beautifully decorated and designed to a high standard. Oh and the welcome pack was amazing! Close to the train station and only 10 mins in the car to Hawes for shops, cafes etc. We drove to the 3 peaks which took about 30mins so fab location to explore the Yorkshore Dale's. What an absolutely stunning location! We wanted a relaxing break and this is exactly what we got. Vicki and Tom have created something really special. The Hayloft is small yet had everything we needed for a family of 5. There were plenty of books and games to enjoy. Vicki greeted us at the door, making us feel welcome and had left us some homemade treats. The kids had a blast, exploring the grounds, playing on the trampoline and climbing the nearby hill to catch a glimpse of the fighter jets flying overhead. There was a lovely walk to the river and you can roam freely over the fields. We enjoyed watching the sheep and horses roam and also saw deer, rabbits, frogs and kestrels. The house has a view of the Settle-Carlisle railway so we enjoyed a bit of train spotting too. There was so much to soak up before we even thought about heading out. The nearby town of Kirkby Stephen had plenty of shops and we enjoyed a meal from The Mango Tree Indian. We would 100% recommend a stay here!

Lovely cottage in the heart of Dent. Nice and peaceful surroundings, extremely friendly neighbours, village welcomed visitors. Lovely views from the village and some beautiful winding country roads (narrow in places). Cottage was clean, tidy with a relaxing lounge area, modern kitchen downstairs, with three bedrooms upstairs. Great communication from the host, especially with regards to parking and how to access the cottage and a comprehensive welcome book upon arrival (plus a few goodies) meant that we were right at home immediately. A great place to stay for a short break at the last minute!

So lucky to have found this gem, thank you Pat for being such a wonderful host! Pat's place has beautiful views all round and it was a treat to see all the moorland birds. There was even a snipe one morning on the lawn, cuckoo, woodcock and short-eared owl in the adjacent fields. We enjoyed the remoteness and not having a mobile phone signal was a bonus. Pat was super helpful, the cottage is very generous with gated driveway, well equipped kitchen and comfortable rooms.
