Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Alajuela Province

We had a great time ! The house is spacious, has everything for cooking and beautiful places to share with the family!

This place is a true haven of peace. We appreciated Johnathan's courtesy, who was very kind, he welcomed us on arrival and explained the details. Very friendly and kind, it was very pleasant. The house was very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We slept very well. The view is splendid, breathtaking. The place is about 3km from the village, and the roads are not paved, we rented a 4x4 that was useful to go up to the house, but parking is available down the hill. Monteverde is a village nestled in the mountains, in the morning we had lunch above the clouds. Funny thing, a cat walks around the house and is very affectionate. 10/10 recommend the place to stay in Monteverde, it's perfect.

Daiana’s home was wonderful. We only spent 24 hours in Monteverde and we are so glad we chose this house. Our host was accommodating with a late check out, always responsive, the house is well appointed and it was such a beautiful place. Loved our time here! Phenomenal view!

We absolutely fell in LOVE with the charming town of Monteverde and Jarvey and Flors place was the perfect location to rest our tired bodies!!!!! We loved the adventurous road leading to the house and the quiet peace and tranquility that awaited us! We arrived to find a basket of goodies including fresh pineapple and banana, chips, cold water, fresh local bread, cheese, and jam, and champagne! Jarvey was so kind and responsive and checked in on us personally a couple of times! We exchanged a lovely hug upon departure and I'll be forever grateful for their kindness and hospitality! The house itself is immaculate and cozy and the hot tub and patio couldn't be any more peaceful and beautiful! The views were amazing and the birds and flowers and bumblebees were the perfect addition to the serenity. The wifi may be a bit spotty, but we actually enjoyed that part! We cozied up in fluffy blankets on the couch and totally enjoyed our stay! Thanks again Jarvey and Flor!!!!!

Maikol’s was very communicative and the view from the place was beautiful! The road to get there is a little rough, but that was to be expected. We even saw some toucans flying around early in the morning. Would recommend!

We had a wonderful stay! The home was cozy, spacious, and surrounded by beautiful nature—perfect for anyone looking to relax and unplug. What made it extra special was the horseback tour through the property, where we got to see local wildlife and enjoy fresh juice at the end. Jose and his family were incredibly welcoming and made us feel right at home.

Truly a home away from home with hospitality that is unmatched. We were astounded by the this beautiful Airbnb , immaculate and well stocked including a full washer and dryer which was a godsend. It is evident that Josh and Yer pour in their hearts to make their place an oasis of comfort and kindness. They gave the clearest instructions to access the home with helpful photos. They left us snacks, sodas, and coffee and that was such a thoughtful and appreciated gesture. We felt so welcomed. I wish all Airbnb hosts had their proactive care! They set the bar high! I am a traveler with my family looking to build lifetime memories in Costa Rica. Jose and his mother were also there available for some excellent recommendations. From where to get seafood, the best kept secret hot water springs that the locals visit, to the most scenic ATV tours and how to get a massage on their gorgeous patio by the pool. What Jose and his family have built over generations exudes pride, beauty and tranquility. We have experienced good to very bad Air Bnb experiences over the years. There is always the voice in the back of my head, "I hope the home is as nice as it is described by the description and photos. "I can tell you first hand that it exceeded our expectations. It is clear that they take pride in making everyone's stay memorable. Final note, Jerry (the private chef) and his wife are the most down to earth couple. If you want to experience Costa Rica on a next level, one bite of their creations will take you there!

The place was very easy to get to. As we arrived, we were greeted by Oscar, who manages the facility for his family. He took the time to go over everything we needed to know about the unit, the property grounds, as well as interesting local information. This was greatly appreciated and very helpful. We found the place to be very relaxing. The unit was very clean and contained all the amenities listed. The only neighbors we encountered were the steer grazing in the pasture next door. While we did not see an abundance of wildlife, we did hear the occasional roar of Howler Monkeys. We look forward to revisiting Casa Balbi in the future. Thank you, Oscar!

Perfect accommodation for arrival/departure, about 5 minutes by Uber to the airport. The apartment has everything you need, we were very satisfied.

Our time at Danta Santa was truly amazing ! We loved how private the location felt and how beautiful it was. The pictures looked exactly like the pictures and somehow in person it was more breathtaking! Although it rained a lot during our stay we didn’t mind because the Airbnb was truly our own oasis. We loved that we had the option to have the place fully opened or closed. The space was perfect for a couple trying to get away from a crowded city. We loved that everything was nearby, such as the restaurants and activities. Everything was 20 mins away or less. We would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice, modern and cozy place to stay! We will definitely be retuning and booking Danta Santa.

I give this Airbnb A+, very good experience located in a safe convenient neighborhood, 15 minutes from Juan Santa Maria AP, close to shops , sodas, bakery, coffee shop, Agony Church one block, bus stop across , Mega super around the corner , me and my daughter felt very safe , we did lot of walking , this a humble , clean , fully equipped place , we had a late arrival I appreciate Mrs Mary waiting for us until 1am she even helped carry a heavy suitcase to let us in , cohost Krissie answered all my questions , helped me navigate Alajuela, I will definitely book this place again next trip, thank you

The place was exactly what it was advertised. Me and my family had a good and comfortable stay. The beds were also very comfortable. It is very close to the airport and the City Mall which had a big food court with many options for reasonable prices if you’re trying to save a little. Me and my family had a great stay.

I’m an expat living in the southern part of CR. I fly out of SJO 3 or 4 times a year, and usually stay at the Fairfield or the Courtyard because of their proximity to the airport. I decided to try something different this time and I’m so glad I did! Not only was it less than half the price of staying in a hotel, it was WAY nicer. It’s a safe, quiet neighborhood, walking distance to City Mall (3 minutes) and all of its shops and restaurants, and only $6 Uber to the airport. Carolina is very quick to respond to any messages, and you can tell she cares about your experience. I especially loved that there was an ice maker in the door of the fridge (super rare in bnb’s in CR) and the snacks and water provided. The apartment practically sparkled it was so clean! Full-sized washer and dryer, 2 bathrooms with showers, comfortable bed and sofa… this was absolutely the best value of any stay I’ve experienced in CR. I will DEFINITELY be back!

Our plane was delayed so by the time we got our rental car and arrived it was almost 3am. 24hr security was very friendly, assigned parking was easy to find and is right at the entrance to the building and elevator. We were able to leave our car safely and wait till the morning to unpack. Very quiet and clean condo grounds. The condo was comfortable with nearby places to eat and easy access to airport. We were a family of 4, 11yr and 12yr old kids and stayed very comfortable.

Steven is a great host. accommodating and responsive. place is always clean and comfortable. Will continue to stay here in the foreseeable future when in San Jose

Great place and amenities. My favourite was the huge balcony with the view of the clouds and hills. There’s a supermarket next door, makes stocking up on essentials very easy. There’s weekly cleaning too, so extremely convenient for long stays,

Alejandro's place was very beautiful, easy to find, with convenient and secure parking. I had to pick up my mom from the airport late at night, and it was perfect to be able to stay so close in a clean, beautifully decorated place. Being able to bring my dog along was extremely helpful too! Definitely recommended and I'm sure we will stay again!

We were super satisfied with the apartment in Alajuela! Everything was clean, well equipped and very comfortable. The location is great, and the host was very friendly and helpful. Absolutely recommended!
