Snowfall, swirling, On Christmas night, New Year’s dawn. For the first time, I arrive in Canada, In Toronto, Alone. Here, I write, I sleep in quiet calm, Bathe in winter sunlight, Step into the library downstairs, Stumble upon wonders in nearby shops, Chat in French With the antique store owner. My bed, white sheets, Pillows soft and fragrant. A tote bag packed from home, I carry it to the market. Even when it rains, An umbrella waits by the door, Courtesy of Thomas, the host. Thomas, whose kindness lingers everywhere— His humor, His warmth, His attention to every detail. Thirty days, Alone. So long, So short. Long enough to savor each passing minute. Short enough To treasure the stillness, The ease, The freedom That time granted me.

staying there felt like a home away from home. it was a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the city. lovely walking and biking on the island. would have loved to stay longer and will the next time. it was nice to be able to use their bikes to get around but everything is relatively close so walking isn't so bad either but be mindful that from wards island to centre island is about a 30- 40 min walk. thanks for the lovely stay and hope to be back for another quiet and restful vacay.

We had an enjoyable stay and commend Nikita for her timely responsiveness. I appreciate for coordination of our early check-in. The apartment was clean with nice view and very close to important places such as Union Station, CN Tower, etc.
