The HOLTZHAUS is a half-timbered house newly built in 2014. It is situated in the old centre of Holzhausen, in a quiet lane within a traffic-calmed area. Both holiday flats are on the upper floor and can be rented individually or together. The flats are laid out and furnished in the same way, but each has its own individual style. The skylights in one flat face east towards the sunrise, while those in the other face west towards the sunset. You’ll be staying on two levels – the living area with a bathroom, kitchen and bedroom, and the loft, which serves as a second bedroom or play area. The large skylights let in plenty of sunlight, but can also be shaded. With underfloor heating and a fireplace, you’ll always be warm. The kitchen is fully equipped. The bathroom has a toilet, shower and a washing machine. In the guest garden, you can sit comfortably, lie in the hammock and open up the large parasol. Feel free to pick herbs for cooking and fruit for snacking :) From the house, it’s just a short walk to the hiking and cycling area at the Drei Gleichen, with its geological features and fishing lakes. Below the castle, you’ll find a brand-new playground, a football pitch, a fitness trail and, from 2027, a volleyball court. The village boasts art galleries and restaurants, as well as a riding centre. By car, you can reach Thuringian cultural cities such as Arnstadt, Gotha, Erfurt and Weimar, as well as the Thuringian Forest, in 15–30 minutes. The regional train stops in the neighbouring village.

The finca is very idyllically located. Viva la Dolce Vita. Lake Garda feeling in the middle of the Steigerwald. 10 minutes by car from the state capital Erfurt. The exclusive furnishings with high-quality materials and the unobstructed view of the three Gleichen is unique. Bicycle/hiking tours are a highlight here. The large pool and Jacuzzi are to be used seasonally from Jan-Oct. The sauna can be used year-round for up to 6 people. The barbecue grill and the 2 fireplaces invite you to relax.

The house in the forest – nature and city combined

The house is idyllically situated in a large grove, which makes it particularly quiet and close to nature, but at the same time in the immediate vicinity of the center of Arnstadt. Guests live in a completely separate apartment. The apartment is fully equipped and offers: Spacious kitchen with dining area, living room, cozy bedroom, modern bathroom. Thanks to the central location, shopping, restaurants and the train station are within walking distance (about 10 minutes).

Our apartment is located on the 3rd floor of a small apartment building. The apartment is about 45 square meters with a living room, bathroom, bedroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The city center is within 15 minutes on foot. In the house is the excellent Kua Thai Bistro. Our house is not yet completely renovated, which means that there are some blemishes on the facade, in the staircase and also in the garden. For long-term stays for two, please request a discount.

Vacation home “Gina” on the edge of the forest

The idyllically located vacation home with a size of about 50 m² has a living room with open kitchen, bathroom, bedroom with space for 4 people and a dining area. The cottage is located in the climatic health resort of Finsterbergen directly on the edge of the forest in a small bungalow settlement. Because of its location it provides an ideal starting point for hikes (Rennsteig). The leisure pool with mini golf and volleyball and a tennis court are about 200 m away.
