Waterfront holiday rentals in Anchorage

This cottage/condo was perfect for us as a jumping point to tour around Anchorage, Turnagain Arm, and northeast towards Glacier View. It was nice to arrive from a long flight and not need toilet paper! They had basic kitchen supplies, linens, and even shampoo and conditioner. The decor was cozy and comfortable and the beds were also very comfortable. The yard is very picturesque with the sounds of the creek and the nature trail right across the creek. They do have tubes and fishing poles available to use which is also nice. It is on a busy road and while outside you do hear the traffic, inside is quiet. I think a row of Leland cypress facing the road could really help buffer the noise if they are looking to improve that. The place was easy to find and access inside with combination locks. Erik and Amanda were very communicative and even gave us some great suggestions on brunch and shopping. We would absolutely stay here again without hesitation!

Amazing place to stay! Right in the middle of downtown but it doesn’t feel that way. Peaceful and unobstructed view of the water. Quiet neighborhood as well. Great option!

Great location, nice, clean, safe, private. I would say it’s a tiny bit spendy but well worth it.

This Airbnb was the perfect place for a few days in Anchorage! It was clean, unique, and a great combination of private and off the beaten path while also being convenient to downtown Anchorage. We especially loved the bikes and the proximity to the nearby trail. Would stay again!

We had a great stay here. We really enjoyed how close it was to the coastal trail and multiple amazing restaurants downtown. Only thing to note, the bedrooms don’t have blackout curtains, which was okay for us but might bother others with the long Alaskan summer days. We will definitely be staying at Diane’s place if we come back to Anchorage!

We ran into a few issues while there but the hosts were always responsive and extremely helpful with what we needed!! The place was very nice and being next to a creek was great!

Kathy's is the ideal spot for folks who want to be close, but not too, to downtown for its activities and dining etc. We enjoyed at the end of the day, sitting on her deck and just watching the lake and mountains. Clean and well kept, the house is very livable. We'll certainly look to see if Kathy's is available when next we visit Anchorage.

A perfect location for a couple of days before our cruise!! Very clean, well appointed and comfortable for 2 couples.

We had a great time at Heath's place. It was clean, well stocked kitchen and thoughtful ameneties. Also view of the ocean from living room and master. Highly recommemd it. One thing to note is that it does have 2 flights of stairs and it was a hassle to carry 3 heavy bags up and down the stairs. So if thats an issue then look elsewhere.

So happy we stayed at Sharon's place rather than a tourist trap hotel somewhere in downtown Anchorage. Her home is situated in a quiet neighborhood and right in a cul de sac so the area definitely felt safe and peaceful. Waking up every morning to that fantastic view in her backyard was sublime! We were blessed with amazing weather that week so that made our stay even more special as we got to enjoy just basking under the sun out in her patio, feeling the cool breeze, watching the birds. Fully equipped kitchen, super comfy beds, huge living room TV plus recliner sofas, lots and lots of bath towels, and best of all, bidets with heated seats in all of the bathrooms!!! HA! We also enjoyed Sharon's collection of art and Alaskan cultural artifacts. Easy drive from and to the airport, close to all the happenings downtown, but far enough away from all the touristy mess. Sharon was a great host - responsive and helpful. This home was the perfect choice for us!

This was my first time at John’s place and it was great! It was as expected from pics and description, including the wildlife. The place was clean, comfortable, and quiet. John was responsive and friendly without being intrusive. Willing to help if I needed anything. I slept on the king bed and found it very comfy. I traveled with two of my dogs and John was very accommodating by providing covers for furniture, toys, bowls, and even a leash if you forget. I would totally stay here again and plan to!

Beautiful place! Loved sitting in the kitchen and living room watching the birds and the creek. Kids loved the comfy fold out beds and the short walk to the park. Be careful of the coffee maker! That stuff is strong! Super easy to use after a quick search on you tube. Makes super yummy espresso/cappuccino with milk frother…saved us so much on fancy coffee! Beds and linens super comfy! Very spacious and close to all the goings on in Anchorage!

This place was definitely a hidden gem . You walk in immediately to an open floor plan with a wonderful view of the soothing creek that flows steadily in the back yard. This cozy home has all the comforts of home along with a washer and dryer that was a god send for our family of 6 . The wooden floors/laminate floors were a nice touch and made for easy clean ups. The home was very clean and well maintained. We loved going for a walk along the creek and lake. It contributed to the slow mornings and was definitely a surprise highlight of our trip to Alaska. Our teenagers loved going for a bike ride around the lake and especially loved the skate park close by. Oh and they also loved the fire pit out back. Definitely recommend this home to anyone who wants Anchorage as their base to explore Alaska! Easily the best air bnb I’ve stayed in.
