Chagres River Lodge

You stay in our guest house on the River Chagres, in the village Santa Rosa. it is a stone house with a beautiful Panama rancho over it, so the house stays nice and cool. In our garden you have large trees with many birds such as parrots. We have a sloth in the tree. In the morning you can hear the monkeys on the other side and you can explore the area with the canoe. Or take a dip in the river to cool off. A boat to Gamboa or the Panama Canal is a 20 minute boat ride.

This place is surrounded with trees and wildlife, is fairly quiet and pleasant to stroll through the safe neighborhood. It is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and furry friends (pets).

Gamboa is a very quiet place with functional houses like this one. We were close to birdwatching sites that is world class (like Pipeline Road at 2.1 km. aprox), and 0.5 km from the one food and drink option- the Gamboa Rainforest Resort Hotel, 5 stars hotel, with very good fresh food. The views of the Chagres River (and of course birds) were also great. Really spacious and cool house.
