From the window of the upper floor of the renovated barn, which is located next to our farm, you have a view of the Cabauwse mill, and if you are lucky the stork will be brooding across the street. Aan de Kaai is in (Cabauw/Lopik), on the border of the provinces of Utrecht and Zuid Holland. In the middle of the Groene Hart of the Utrecht Waarden and the Krimpenerwaard.

Bakhuisje aan de Lek

Welcome to our “bakhuisje”: a national monument from +- 1700. The house is cozy and comfortable; living downstairs, bed is upstairs on the mezzanine. It has a cozy electric fireplace and a comfy couch. The bathroom has everything needed. Kitchenette (without cooking) with small fridge + coffee/tea and a beautiful view (vegetable garden, greenhouse, fruit trees). Of course WiFi and a workplace. Beautiful surroundings for walking/cycling and a small sandy beach in the river at 2 minutes walking.

Group location 7-16 pers, 7 persons is minimum to stay. You pay per person. Renovated authentic large country house 1907 in Amsterdam Lake district, Loosdrecht. Surrounded by beautiful lakes, woods, countryside. Close to city life 30 min from Amsterdam center and airport. Trainstation 10 min, taxi, Uber, busstop in front of house, 2 shopping centers 5 min by car, market 10 min. Central Holland, historical, terraces on the lakes, restaurants, watersport, boat, sup and bike rent, swimming.

Along meadows with knot willows, you drive into a cozy village. At the church, you turn into a dead-end road. Soon you will reach a black cottage surrounded by greenery; our guest house "De Hooischuur". As soon as you enter the detached cottage, it immediately feels like coming home. And that is exactly the feeling we would like to give you. Our characteristic hay barn in 2018 is equipped with many comforts and gives you the opportunity to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

De schuur is met zorg ingericht, met een knipoog naar het agrarische verleden dat zo kenmerkend is voor deze streek. De ruimte is van alle gemakken voorzien en u zult genieten van het weidse polderlandschap vanaf de ontbijttafel. Bij mooi weer stapt u zo uw privé-tuin in. Op de benedenverdieping beschikt u over een keuken met eettafel, een woonkamer, een toilet en een douche met dubbele wastafel. Boven bevinden zich twee slaapkamers (zonder verwarming) met beiden een tweepersoonsbed.

Behind the doors of our authentic renovated haystack, you will find a complete and cozy apartment, which is located in a very quiet and rural location. From this apartment, you can explore the typical Dutch landscape by bike, on foot or by car. The mills of Kinderdijk are 15 km away, the fortified town of Nieuwpoort is 6 km away and the silver city of Schoonhoven is 6 km away. Enjoy the tranquility and nature during your stay. An atmospheric suite with a free entrance, where the hayloft was once of this 1878 farmhouse. The guesthouse has one bedroom with a double bed, a seat and a beautiful view of the garden and the surrounding greenery. There is a separate room for breakfast and a spacious private bathroom with bath and shower. Guests have access to the entire upper floor, with free entrance. There is no cooking facility, but dining and takeaway options nearby. Suitable for two adults.

The cottage is suitable for 2 people and has a living room with smart TV, open kitchen, separate bedroom, bathroom and a terrace with unobstructed views over the meadows. The kitchen has a refrigerator, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Great for couples, hikers and nature lovers. No pets.
