Enjoying a peaceful setting in the Kent countryside, Copse Corner cottage provides an ideal location for a relaxing holiday and a chance to unwind. The cottage is very well equipped and is furnished to a high standard with access to private patio area overlooking a woodland habitat which enjoys a wide variety of wildlife. Nestled in the Kent countryside you will find this traditional oak framed self-catering hideaway with luxury finishes and beautiful surroundings. With stunning view and the historic village of Chilham just a short walk away, Copse Corner is an ideal location to explore the Garden of England. Set within the 4 acres of the Owners property and adjoining a private woodland and meadow, this is a perfect romantic retreat for a holiday or stolen weekend away and also a wildlife watcher's paradise! Copse Corner features a cosy open plan living/dining/kitchen area with vaulted ceilings. The kitchen has a country feel with Smeg induction hob and compact oven/microwave, a small fridge freezer, Nespresso machine with selection of capsules. A further separate utility room is available with a washing machine and laundry facilities. The living area features a wood-burning stove, especially useful on those chilly autumn nights, and a free supply of logs. The comfy seating area is an ideal place to relax and unwind, with a small selection of books and games available. Duck down through the quirky low doors to access the patio which is set in a quiet corner adjacent to the woodland and meadow. The bistro table and chairs offer the perfect spot to enjoy the birdsong and fresh country air, you may even catch a glimpse of the pheasants as well as other wildlife. Maybe take the opportunity to dine al fresco or enjoy breakfast (with the Owners' hens providing the eggs, when available). A dedicated parking space is available near to the Owners property. The Owners live close-by and are on hand should you need them, but otherwise will not disturb your stay. A warm welcome awaits our visitors who we are sure will have a truly memorable holiday. If we are not on-site please do not hesitate to call or text on our mobiles The cottage is surrounded by beautiful countryside and is a short walk from the historic village of Chilham with its Tudor period homes, tea room, 2 pubs and gift shop. Canterbury is a short car or train journey away. Within easy reach of London (37 minutes by high speed train from St Pancras to Ashford followed by a connection to Chilham Railway station). A peaceful setting to sit back and enjoy, or for those seeking something more energetic, try the walks and cycle routes nearby. A car is not essential for your stay as we are approximately 1 mile from the mainline railway at Chilham. Although trains can be few and far between so please check timetables before deciding on this option.

Listed watermill, mentioned in Domesday book, converted into a Georgian house in 1776, set in 8 acres, 100m from train station (Canterbury and London ). Wye has restaurants, pubs and shops in the village. Accommodation is in the old Mill, with 5 bedrooms (2 ensuite), (sometimes an extra bedroom and bathroom), a fully fitted new kitchen, a grand dining-sitting room over the river. Private terrace overlooking river, and 3-acre island , rowboat, wild water swimming. We welcome up to 2 dogs.

But if relaxing with your favourite glass is more your thing, then it's worth noting, that it is also in the centre of England's wine country, with our local vineyards - from Chapel Down to Gusbourne.

The Lodge

1300 sq. ft of spacious, modern accommodation situated half an hour from J 10 on the M20, and half-way between Tenterden and Rye. It's a short drive to the great Camber Sands Beach. 40 minutes or so from the Eurotunnel - we have often gone to Paris for lunch!! Lots to do in the area - Kentish vineyards, National Trust and English Heritage properties, a real steam railway a few miles away, a leisure centre, beauty spas, local museum, McArthur Glen Outlet in Ashford and lots more.
