It was built in 1847, as indicated to the left of the entrance, by the merchant and notable of the island Dimitrios Michail Georgiadis, the so-called "Pasha", for his noble appearance. At that time, when the island was under Turkish occupation, the place served as a sponge warehouse, since the sponge industry flourished on the island, as evidenced by the copper pots that are preserved in the dome-roof to this day.
