Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Atsipopoulo

I already miss this house. It’s like a fairytale cottage. So many cute little spaces indoors and out. Character and charm! It’s old with stone steps and some low doorways, so don’t be clumsy. Our hosts were hospitable and kind. We felt right at home. There are many flowers, herbs and trees. Unforgettable.

We really enjoyed our stay at this vacation home. The location is quiet and offers a great view of the sea – perfect for unwinding. The house is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need. The landlords were friendly and helpful and made the stay pleasant. All in all, a nice house for a relaxing beach vacation.

Four of us, two couples, spent a very enjoyable week at Roula's stone cottage. A special and stunning location and suspect a rare opportunity to spend time in a traditional style house in a rural cretan mountain village. The cottage is very well equipped and comfortable. May be better suited to a family stay as the downstairs room has no separate access to bathroom. We enjoyed the peaceful location immensely- great to getup and have breakfast outside with the fresh air and distant sound of goat bells. We travelled to Chania or the beaches along the coast every day and certainly didn't find the village too remote to do so. Nearby Tavernas and gorge walk are a must. Roula, along with her mother, were always quick, helpful and generous when questions were asked and supplied us with eggs and oranges and some home cooked food. Surely one of the best hosts I've experienced on airbnb. Would gladly return.

Very nice modern house (less than five years old?) overlooking the sea. Everything in very good working order, including powerful air conditioning in the bedrooms. Frequent cleaning of the pool area was a benefit, particularly when a storm had come in the night before. Very convenient to Rethymno as well as to several bakeries and restaurants towards the centre of the island.

Everything was fine, the place was very good. The four of us inside are a little small but completely doable. There is enough space around the house and the pool is great. Unfortunately, there were a few ants, but that didn't make the stay any worse. You have to drive to the city but can be reached very quickly by car.

We enjoyed our stay here so much! Wow what a stunning home with the most amazing views and amenities. It was hard to want to leave to do anything else but enjoy the property! We loved the pool area with so many nice loungers and comfy seating. The outdoor bar was lovely and we had so much fun playing pickleball! The beds were so comfy and the kitchen very spacious. Jerry provided us with nice touches to get us started before getting to the market. And Aggeliki was extremely communicative prior to and during our stay. We felt completely at home and can’t say enough good things about this place!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A dream vacation with friends – DejaView in Crete is a real gem! We were able to spend some unforgettable days in the holiday home DejaView – and it was simply fantastic! The house itself is modern, stylish and equipped with everything you could wish for. The spacious pool and the breathtaking view of the Cretan landscape all the way to the sea inspired us every day. But what really makes this place special is the host. From the first moment, he was incredibly warm, helpful and attentive - after a very short time, it felt as if we had found a friend on site. Whether tips for excursions, restaurant recommendations or just a nice conversation - he was always there for us and made our stay something very special. DejaView is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy and feel good. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay with our two children (8 and 12), though the apartment was so spacious we could easily have brought two more family members along! Everything had been thoughtfully prepared with families in mind, and our hosts were absolutely lovely—warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout. The apartment was even better than the photos: clean, beautifully presented, and full of thoughtful touches that made our stay feel easy and relaxed. There’s plenty to do in the local area, and we really appreciated the great recommendations from our host. Would definitely recommend!

Hidden gem! Loved this home, literally two minute walk to Golden Beach. Katerina is so sweet (she met us in-person, had local restaurant recommendations, and even provided a bottle of wine). The home was perfect for our group of 6 (great value for the money, too). Would 100% come again!

We loved our stay at the Alice Villa. Location is truly fantastic for shopping and loads of restaurants. We spent quite a bit of time at the villa when the weather wasn’t the greatest and we couldn’t have been happier. Thank you Marianna for the wonderful hospitality and the gifts. Have to mention the people we met in the restaurants and on the streets, soooo friendly. We were very sad to leave. Could’ve stayed a lot Longer. Book it, youll love it. Until next time.

We have a lovely stay! Beautiful apartment, perfect for 2 couples or a family with two children. Two separate bathrooms provide ample privacy. Immense living room, cozy and spacious terrace, kitchen with everything you could need! We traveled with a 10-month-old daughter, a travel cot and high chair were provided! The pool was a bit chilly at the start of our trip, but as the outside temperatures rose, the pool warmed up nicely for our daughter. We could always go to the hosts with all our questions, we were helped very quickly! What is important to know: the building and swimming pool are located along a busy road (main road). We knew this from the reviews and were therefore prepared. We hoped it would not be too bad, but unfortunately, at times, there is a lot of noise. In the bedrooms, however, you will not hear any of this! The location is nice, with many restaurants, beach bars and supermarkets nearby. Top stay!

Maryellen communicated really well before and during the stay. The house is a fantastic location but you need a car or taxi to get to local restaurants and into Chania. Maryellen even booked the taxi for us to Chania. The house is fully equipped with everything. The views are amazing over looking the sea. The outside space is great with magical pool. It’s on a hill so probably not suitable for people who find it difficult with stairs and because the pool is an infinity pool you would need to be careful of children in the pool. The house is private and in a quiet location. We will be going back, one of the best Airbnb we have been to.

Fabulous Manolis and his family were wonderful, they were incredibly kind when meeting us upon arrival and very helpful throughout our stay - always responding to queries quickly and offering useful advice about the local area. The apartment is in a great location being a short walk from the sea, shops and the old town. The view from the balcony is gorgeous, with the fort to the east and coastline to the west. The apartment was clean and well stocked offering all we needed for a week long holiday.

This place is beautiful! We enjoyed our stay especially watching sunrises with coffee on the balcony and watching sunsets with some wine. The views are stunning. It had all the amenities we needed for our stay and was quiet when we needed some rest. It was about a 20 minute walk to old town and had good sidewalks and lighting. Parking in Rethymno can be challenging so having a spot was very convenient. There is a little beach across the street for a quick dip in the sea. It is a great spot for venturing to other locations. I highly recommend checking out the artist town of Margarites. Nikos was a great host, very easy to reach and provided some lovely recommendations.

This place is a treasure. The views from the living room and kitchen are spectacular. The house has many clever features that are well designed. The area around Almyrida is fun to explore--go down to the beach or on a hike along the coast. Almyrida is a cute beach town, very welcoming. And we did several further from the town adventures. We had no idea that Crete has so much to offer--pottery in Margarites, beautiful beaches, intense hikes, exceptional museums, exploring Hania's historic streets. The property management team were wonderful to interact with. We felt so fortunate to find such a gem. Thank you!!! We sure hope we can return.

Roula was an exceptional host. The house was lovely and had everything we needed, including a great outdoor eating area. The garden has beautiful plants and trees, and the pool is great. Being surrounded by the well looked after goats and sheep was charming and the sound of their bells very relaxing. The village has well stocked supermarkets and there is a fantastic local butcher too. You definitely need a car if you are staying here, parking and getting around Rethymno is really easy. We loved our stay.

Lovely place to stay, we loved it!!! Anastasia was quick to respond and very friendly. I would stay here again on my next visit. make sure you eat at the tavern at the end of the street if staying, great food and drinks!

Had a wonderful time at this Airbnb! Location was superb, a great place for exploring easy reach of Chania and Rethymno. The town has 3 eating places, Monica’s was the highlight! Airbnb its self was so peaceful, with amazing views the outside space had been thought through with lovely dining areas and sunbeds, it gets the sun from midmorning to night. Would recommend to anyone, loved it!

It was our first time in Greece, Crete and it was beautiful. The house was even better than the pictures, amazing view and perfect for 6 people. The elevator inside the house was perfect and the kitchen was lovely to spend time cooking and relaxing. It definitely felt like home and we wish we could’ve stayed longer 😍 I would definitely come back to this house again. Thank you for everything!

Our experience here was the highlight of our stay in Crete! Federico provided us with detailed recommendations of some of his favorite spots nearby, and we visited as many as we could. Each one was a beautiful destination with no tourists and occasionally some fellow locals. And his food recommendations were some of the best food we had! We LOVED this place!! The villa, the location, and the hosts Eleni and Georgios are all fantastic. The house is stunningly designed inside and out, for both functionality and luxury. The kitchen is supremely well-equipped, beds comfortable, bathrooms and living spaces airy and stylish. We appreciated the multiple terraces, beautiful swimming pool and sauna with a view! The location is perfect without a car: easily walkable to bars, restaurants and supermarkets in Plakias, but situated at the best, quietest, wildest end of the bay, with sandy beach, clear water, a couple of cool beach bars for sundowners and a beautiful walk on the headland. If you do have a car, there are amazing beaches nearby (Skinaria is gorgeous), and walking (and cold swimming) in the Kourtaliotiko Gorge. Eleni and Georgios are amazing hosts: communicative, friendly, thoughtful, offering local recommendations and dealing with any questions or issues efficiently - thank you! 🤩
