In the appartment of Alessandra you're in the middle of Toscane and you can feel the Italian heartbeat in the friendly, relaxed streets of Certaldo. We immediately felt at home. The rooms have plenty of space and a calm atmosphere. You can eat or relax in the cosy livingroom, with beautiful pictures on the wall telling you about the old days in Certaldo. The kitchen is small but big enough for the cooking you would want to do. And otherwise you can always eat with the local people in one of the restaurants at the piazza. The people are so friendly and relaxed. From the appartment you can walk to the railway station in less than five minutes. So you can easily visit places in Toscane. In the hills around Certaldo you can make beautiful walks. You will experience silence, birds, flowers, butterflies and extraordinary views all over the Val d'Elsa and beyond. Alessandra, thank you so much for our pleasant stay and great time. Toscane and Certaldo will be in our hearts forever.

The renovated church was incredibly interesting and I was fascinated by its long history. The church is nestled within a tranquil olive grove which made it easy to relax and disconnect from the stressors of the big city. Roberto was absolutely incredible and I cannot give higher praise—he is truly the standard when it comes to hosts. He was attentive, responsive to any issues, and helpful to solve any difficulties that we had with travel arrangements. It’s easy to see why this property is in such high demand. It was my first time staying in Tuscany and Roberto’s church is already calling me back for another stay! Most highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic, this was the most beautiful apartment we have ever stayed in. Beautiful furniture, clean bathroom, cool on hot days (has air conditioning), has a private hot tub on the private terrace with stunning views over the Tuscan countryside. Private parking in the middle of the courtyard. The apartment was even more beautiful than in the photos. Grazie Veronica!

This place is what I imagined when I close my eyes and think of Tuscany. The view from the bedroom is amazing and the apartment is adorable. There is AC but we didn’t end up needing it since the windows let in such a glorious breeze. The kitchen was well equipped, we were just missing paper towels. The pool was great with a fantastic view although it would have been helpful to have access to pool towels. The location is great and about a 15 minute drive into San Gimignano so you probably need a car. It was also a quick drive to supermarkets and nearby wineries which we loved. Berta was really helpful during check-in and provided us with recommendations in the area.

This property exceeded our expectations with spectacular views and peaceful, natural surroundings! The host was friendly and responsive. The proximity to San Gimignano and other Tuscan destinations was convenient. Each day felt magical! Just sitting on the patio was amazing! An unforgettable destination and experience!

Staying with Carmine is top. We have been to Carmine and Alessandra in Certaldo for a month (mid-April / mid-May) and we can recommend that to everyone. Not only the reception ( in our case very late) was incredibly warm, but throughout our stay we felt very comfortable, this host is always open to questions, is proactive with giving information, tips about everything like where it is nice / tasty/ beautiful to visit. In addition, the house is very nice, it is great in the Tuscan hill country, between the wine and olive farmers, nice beds (we always find important especially if you are staying there longer) and really good Wi-Fi which was important for us to be able to work from here. The location is perfect. You are close to Florence, Siena, Pisa, and many special other villages/towns that are more than worth visiting. The month was over too soon! If we visit Tuscany again for sure with Carmine and Alessandra!
