The Bull Pen is a wonderful place to stay and soak up a calm,and relaxing environment! The moment we walked in we could see the love and care that has gone into making The Bull Pen warm and welcoming! Thankyou Simon and Millie for welcoming us and our family, you are the perfect hosts! Just to say the beds were really comfy and we all slept well. The views from the picture window across the lake were beautiful, kingfishers were spotted amongst other wildlife. Plenty of walks to explore and we can recommend a visit to The Anchor Pub along side the river where you can hire boats! Fabulous! We have booked to come back in August!

Wonderful few days stay. Pub next door served lovely food. Very easy bus onto Lewes and further afield. Could have a lovely walk with the dog straight from the door. Would definitely stay again. Thanks Joy

Idyllic cabin and natural surroundings with many footpaths through the woods and fields to explore and Barcombe village nearby. We loved the birdsong and wildlife here and the opportunity to cook on a campfire, the abundance of wildflowers, the bunny that popped out each morning behind the hut, and the adorable clever touches inside the hut itself like the wall pockets for maps. Ben and Amanda were warm, welcoming and helpful hosts with lots of suggestions to make our stay here comfy and fun. A week felt too short! Thank you so very much.

When it comes to dogs lovers, this is the best property we've found so far. The enormous and diverse garden is truly secured, including for a Houdini husky. It has so much going on that dogs will not be bored. The house is welcoming and super clean, with lots of thought given to the needs of humans and dogs alike. The kitchen is very well equipped and we enjoyed making all our meals. The hosts communicate exceptionally well, and despite living next door we had 100% privacy and peace. The surrounding is walkable from the property and we never had to move the car once in three days to give the dogs a great walk. There are hours and hours of trails from the doorstep. Truly highly recommended. The only thing to consider is that the beautiful and welcoming shared space inside isn't big, so absolutely perfect for sunny days, and perhaps less so for bad weather if you come in a party of four, or if your dogs need their own space. We felt very fortunate to find this gem and hope to come again.
