Elegant Luxury on 41 Acre Secluded Private Estate

AdamRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Louise and Martin's house was the perfect location for myself and 10 friends to stay. It was a very comfortable and cosy home for relaxing, sleeping and cooking. Having 4 bedrooms with ensuites allowed privacy and additional comfort. The weed burning stove made the evenings very cosy. The kitchen was well equipped and allowed for all our cooking styles and requirements. Loved the coffee machines and the essentials provided. Thank you also for the complimentary champagne, which was a lovely welcome gift. The home is on a large private wooded estate, which provided so great walks and fresh air. The home is secluded and private, providing peace and quiet, but shops and other amenities are only a short drive away. The home is perfect as a base for a large family or group of friends to explore north Devon or to stay in and enjoy in its own right.

Absolutely stunning Airbnb. The barn felt super cosy and is furnished to such a high standard. Perfect for dogs too. Highly recommend. Mason Arms is a must, less than a 5 min walk and food is delicious.

The Little Barn

One of the luxuries of booking with Airbnb is the ability to read reviews on what people have said about a particular place. On reading the reviews, you get the impression that this place is a diamond, a place of peace and tranquility. It is with great joy that I can confirm that all those reviews were true, that this place is a diamond, a place of peace and tranquility. The host Nigel and Glenda are wonderful people who care about you, and will go further than most people we know. It’s because of this that it’s worthy of full marks for everything. Thank you Nigel and Glenda for making a four day holiday feel like a two week holiday. Will we be back!?Yes yes yes!

Lakeside Lodge, Wood-Fired Hot Tub, Fishing

ScottRating, 5 stars1 week ago
me and my partner had a lovely 2 day break at this beautifully lodge, from the moment we walked in there was a lovely card waiting for us a bottle of Prosecco and chocolates in the fridge, and red petals and customised towels on the bed. the place was amazing beautiful views, we loved the face we could go in hot tub whe it was warm cause water was cold then go back in at the night and have it hot. the only little thing I could find that was bad is that I couldn't let my little dog run free as it wasn't secure due to lake and also way to many flys. other than that overall great experience.

Quay House - The Annexe, a riverside retreat.

MarianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We are so grateful that we discovered this beautiful place in North Devon as part of our “ plan as you go” driving holiday in the UK. Weare Giffard, is a hidden gem and Audrey’s annexe is the perfect place from which to explore it! The room has been beautifully presented and the goodies basket of scones, jam, cream, biscuits and fruit was very generous! Everything you could possibly need has been supplied in the bathroom, right down to a sewing kit and toothbrush charger! The annexe is separate from their home, with its own driveway which made it very private. It has a beautiful garden and views and a short walk from the local pub with its very friendly owners and patrons… not to be missed. Thank you Audrey for this trip highlight.

Exceptionally beautiful views!

JustineRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Me and my partner have just got back after spending 4 nights at the little barn. Everything was as described. The photos don’t do the size justice it is huge! More than enough space for 2 people. The decor is lovely and just to our tase. The shower is amazing! It was lovely to see the horses and pony right outside the kitchen and bedroom window. Also the chickens roaming freely. Everything we wanted or needed plus more was there, tea, coffee , sugar and milk for when we arrived, oh and the lovely farm fresh eggs, these were delicious! The kitchen is kitted out perfectly. The hot tub on the decking area was an added bonus, watching the sun set of an evening whilst enjoying an Aperol spritz was amazing. Also the bbq was a superb added touch. Philippa was a perfect host! There if you needed. Philippa also advised us of places to go, I can highly recommend Tavistock, a lovely town only half an hour away. There’s plenty of places to visit. We have already booked for next year!
