Holiday rentals with a kayak in Bedford County

We had a great stay at this home at SML! Having the pool across the street was so convenient, and it was a very quick drive to the community marina and lakeside amenities. The home was exactly as described and included all the necessary touches to make us feel at home. Would definitely return!

What a beautiful place Ben has! We absolutely loved our stay there! There was everything we could possibly need! Enjoyed the mornings on the deck especially! And when there was one little thing missing, Ben went out of his way to remedy that! Thank you it was a beautiful way to spend our daughter’s graduation from college!

This home was fantastic for our family. We had a beautiful setting and a great home that was well stocked with everything that we could need. There were plenty of life jackets in all sizes and lots of water play accessories to include a floating island that got a lot of use. Our family (three generations) really enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back! Cody was a great host! Quick to respond to our emails. He made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. What a great vacation!

We enjoyed our family getaway at SML! This home was better than expected! It was clean and had plenty of room for 2 families. The location was perfect! It’s tucked away in a private cove which made floating at the dock very peaceful! We’ve stayed on many parts of the lake, but this was by far our favorite location! We will definitely be returning! What a beautiful place!! Our whole family loved the deck in the mornings! We had wonderful weather, and the views were just gorgeous as we enjoyed our coffee outside. 😍 Great basement with so many games to enjoy and room for everyone! The gravel driveway is very steep, but thankfully it didn’t rain while we were there, so we had no trouble getting in/out. Very clean, well-stocked house. The closest grocery store is about 30 minutes away, so maybe stop by on your way in. We would love to stay again sometime!

Great host. Very responsive. The place was extremely well maintained and very clean. Everything worked exactly as it should from the keyless entry to Internet access. The property is located .5 miles down a gravel road, which is rustic and dusty. The area is rustic as well. The price was a little high for a manufactured home but it was a holiday weekend.

Above and beyond expectations. I have stayed in many rentals in the past and this place is by far one of the cleanest I have been in. The bed linens were high quality with comfortable mattresses, the bathrooms and kitchen were very clean and well stocked. You could not beat having the lake right there and the powered covered boat slip was perfect. We will definitely stay here again.

Had such a great stay at this house. Beautiful scenery, lots of porch and outdoor space, relatively private from neighboring homes. Bedrooms and amenities were as described. Kitchen was pretty well stocked w/ cooking implements and whatnot. Elizabeth is a super responsive, friendly host that made us all feel at home. Would def go back!

Ben was a perfect host. Very communicative and will do whatever it takes to make the stay as good as possible. Beautiful property and very cool layout with multiple dwellings on the property. So many beds! Great lakefront just an easy walk down from the main house. The deck with fire pit and outdoor TV along with the wiffle ball field make for a great place to hangout and spend the day with your group! Would definitely book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the cottage for the weekend. It was clean and private, but also close to all the local shops and restaurants. Perfect house for a small family, the kayak's we're a lot of fun and my girls had fun swimming and floating around the dock. We would definitely consider renting again!

Excellent all around. I had a very restful weekend at Christina’s cabin. The location was beautiful, and the cabin itself was more comfortable and well-appointed than I expected, while still retaining a rustic, woodsy charm. Directions and instructions were clear and easy to follow, and Christina was very responsive when I had questions. I highly recommend purchasing eggs and whatever seasonal produce is on offer. I was lucky enough to be here in strawberry and asparagus season myself! Christina’s place is definitely going on my list of favorite places to stay in Virginia.

We had a great experience at the Firefly Cottage. It was extremely clean, cozy, and fully stocked with amenities; Taylor truly thought of everything! She was responsive and accommodating every step of the way. 5 stars! & Our pup agrees!

Ryan was a great host. Friendly and responsive. I have rented a bunch in places in the last decade and Ryan was the best host and photos match the reality perfectly. My family greatly enjoyed the experience.
