What a find! Absolutely perfect for our three night stay in York. Secure parking with EV charging and we didn’t use the car at all once we’d arrived. 45 minute pleasant walk to the centre or bus stop literally right outside the door. Also got an Uber back after a night out and was less than £8. There are local pubs and shops within a few minutes walk too. The place is exactly as shown in the photos, absolutely spotless, with comfy bed and good quality bedding. Carolyn is an excellent host, great local info and perfect level of communication…providing all the information and responsive to messages but also left us in peace :)

Catherine is the ideal relaxed host. (and a baking angel, thank you, Catherine!) The apartment was large, bigger than we expected, and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal for our weeks stay, lovely peaceful surroundings, but easy drive to a great shopping centre with good park & ride into York, also 1 hour access to Whitby, Harrogate (Harlow Carr), Rievaulx and Fountains.

My son and I stayed at Lavender Lodge for two nights. The apartment was immaculately kept and I loved the lavender theme … even the bin liners, hand soap and washing up liquid were lavender! The location was great for exploring York centre and on the doorstep of a lovely wildlife and conservation centre. Amanda responded quickly to any queries and access to the apartment was explained clearly for a smooth arrival. All in all we had a wonderful little break and would highly recommend. A perfect home from home - everything has been thought about what you could need. Perfect location, very close to bus routes into York but so peaceful to come back to after a busy day exploring. Great to have some basic provisions provided - the lemon cake gets a special mention, Jill was very kind to make it dairy free for my wife, extra delicious. A great place to stay and highly recommend!
