By the Lake is a welcoming, private suite situated in a beautiful, modern waterfront home with a stunning view over the lake and a lovely garden with a hot tub. Five minutes drive from downtown and 15 minutes from Whitewater ski area, provides refreshing hikes and skiing opportunities close by. Close access to shopping and restaurants. John's Walk lakeside path passes right by the house, leading you to attractive Lakeside Park. Our beach provides a peaceful spot to relax on the lake shore.

Oceanfront with stunning views of Howe Sound/Coastal Mountains (above photo). Close to town, ferry, restaurants. A 10 minute walk through our forest leads to our swimmable beach. Suite is newly renovated with stone fireplace insert, queen bed, new sofa bed, keyless entrance and private deck (bedding and towels provided). The Surf- Ocean Front-By the Beach- Outdoor Bath

Ocean front West Coast retreat located 40 meters above the surf, bordering China Beach. Enjoy beach fires, forest walks, hiking, mushroom forging and surfing. A short intermediate private trail will take you down to the beach. The 560 square foot cabin is set back on the property, offering spectacular panoramic views of the Juan de Fuca Straight. Cozy up by the wood fire in this cozy 1 king bed cabin or have a bath in the outdoor tub and enjoy the breathtaking views!

It’s hard to believe we’re just 8 minutes from the Langdale ferry terminal, because it feels like you’re in the remote, coastal backcountry of British Columbia. The Caravan

Enjoy a memorable and unique experience in the 'Caravan', a tiny home built on the back of a 1967 International Loadstar. Cozy up and read a book in the spacious loft bed. Have a romantic getaway, book our sauna or bring your family of 3 and make use of the twin futon. Walk or ride your bike right out the door on our trails and take in one of the classes or events at For-rest Retreat. Salmo is the perfect place to stay and explore the beauty of the Kootenays.

Scandinavian Escape

When palm springs meets a peaceful lush secluded forest - welcome to our Scandinavian escape. This private hotel style suite has its own separate entrance, patio and is the perfect spot to enjoy the beauty and serenity of nature while only being 12 minutes from Osoyoos & 30 minutes from Mt. Baldie ski resort. Step back in time with the mid century decor but enjoy the luxury of a rainfall walk in shower, workspace and mini kitchen to prep any meal.

The Hideout

We have updated The Hideout and look forward to welcoming the world back at the end of summer 2025!! The Hideout grew from a vision we had when we moved to the Coast in 2020. With the desire to share our dream of living amongst the trees, tucked away from the world, The Hideout was created. Wrapped in hand milled cedar, fir and hemlock this space was designed to remind us to slow down, breathe deep and take it all in.
