Artful Contemporary Oasis on the Edge of Dartmoor

DanielRating, 5 stars3 days ago
The apartment was immaculate and full of everything you could need. Even the bathroom products were clearly carefully chosen as they were all non toxic. We were able to watch a film in an evening and they even provided a speaker so we could play music. It was beautifully decorated with a very quiet and private outdoor space for us to sit. Patricia and Simon were both so helpful, quick to reply to any messages and gave us some really good ideas of places to go. There is a French restaurant in Ashburton which was walkable with amazing food and drinks and a lovely outdoor space and we also drove about 20/30 minutes to a vineyard for a tour and tasting. We really couldn’t recommend this place enough and will most definitely be back! Thank you to Simon and Patricia for being such lovely hosts! Enjoy Glasto !!!

Cosy but wild barn conversion

FionaRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We have just returned from four nights at this lovely cabin. The pictures don’t do it justice. The cabin is extremely comfortable, high quality and thoughtfully equipped. I’ve stayed in plenty of Airbnbs and never before seen such generosity! The kitchen was well stocked with dry goods such as pasta, lentils and tinned tomatoes. There was also a huge selection of teas, spices, kitchen towels and abundant towels and toiletries. The bed was ever so comfortable and we had the wood burner on every evening. The location was perfect - secluded and peaceful yet close to Totnes, Ashburton and the national park. We would recommend the steam train, the other and butterfly sanctuary, hiking in the moors, Totnes for fun shops and Taylor’s in Ashburton for cream tea and Brie sandwiches. Sarah and David were very kind, responsive and respected our privacy. Thank you for a delightful stay.

Enchanting & unique Dartmoor lodge, perfect escape

RebeccaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
One word for this place. Magical. It was truly special and the decor and furnishings just blew me away. The huge wooden front door was like walking into a daydream! It had a very special feeling about it and the location was very peaceful. Everything was perfect from the cutlery and plates to the beds and the linen. I would definitely recommend you try this place and I guarantee you will return as we will.

Hawthorn Cottage, Dartmoor

JonnyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Luke is a fabulous host! Not only is the cottage idyllic, peaceful and charming, but Luke left us some goodies for our arrival. These included a bottle of fizz, some delicious bread and eggs from the chickens he keeps on his small holding. There was loads of good recommendations for walks and activities within the cottage and Luke trod a wonderful balance between giving us our space and being there to offer advice and recommendations. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway in the countryside!

The Calves' House on Dartmoor

Patrick OlivierRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Our stay at the Calves' House couldn't have been more perfect. Everything was as described, or even better. Al and his parents are excellent hosts and made us feel very welcome. Extremely responsive and forthcoming. We enjoyed every part of the place, from the well-designed and well-equiped interior to the jacuzzi and the garden with stunning views of the rolling hills and sunset. Can't wait to go back.

Idyllic Stable Barn with wood fired outdoor spa

JonnyRating, 5 starstoday
Was a great place to unwind and relax away from busy life, we even took advantage of the area to digitally disconnect which was amazing - the maps of local walks were very helpful and would gladly spend many more days in the hot tub and sauna! Hopefully we’ll be able to come back again soon!!

Cosy walker’s retreat in The Old Mill on Dartmoor

RosieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had the most delightful stay in the Annexe. We were immediately welcomed with a personalised note and the most gorgeous interior, we felt spoilt rotten! The fresh beautiful peonies, milk already in the fridge and the Luscombe drinks were delightful touches. Despite only staying 2 nights, throughout our stay we kept mentioning about what a perfect spot it was. Thank you so much Russ and Sam, we hope to be back one day!
