Kid-friendly holiday rentals in Carver County

The home was beautiful and had everything you needed. You need at least a week to enjoy all the benefits of the home. Location was in a very good area. Friendly neighborhood with beautiful homes too. Beds were big and very comfortable.

The perfect getaway on the lake. Close proximity to groceries, shopping, and restaurants. Beautiful backyard space and great dock. We kept a 26ft boat there for the week and highly recommend anyone staying here takes advantage of the lake access.

I live in Victoria and rented Brooke’s place for overflow guests in town for a party, and it was perfect. The venue was 500’ away, in downtown Victoria; and we could not have been happier with the house, and location! Victoria is a beautiful, small town, close to so much nature! Between the fishing lakes, hiking trails, The Arboretum, 3 great wineries within minutes, Valley Fair 20 minutes away, 35 minutes to downtown Minneapolis/major sports venues, there is no reason to stay anywhere else! Thank you!

Weather didn’t quite work in our favor for boating, but the views and location are incredible! The house is comfortable and well appointed. Was a great gathering spot for our group. Would definitely stay again in the future!

My family and I just returned from Sarah’s place (my husband and I, as well as my 5 and 3 year old). We were visiting friends in the area and her place was great for us. I am pretty particular about where I stay, and I will say that Sarah’s place was extremely clean and well updated. We felt like we were at home. The kitchen was very well stocked with whatever you might need, the yard and deck were great for the kids. It was spacious, comfy, and everyone got their own room. It was walkable to downtown Chaska as well as a park next door for the kids. It was a little noisy, at times, as it’s right off the main road, but it didn’t bother us one bit, nor affected our stay. And quite honestly, that’s out of Sarah’s hands. Sarah was super responsive, and check- in was very easy. What you see in the pictures is exactly how it looks. We would not hesitate to stay there again whenever we go back up.

My husband and I felt like we scored a fabulous rental! It has the best of what we love: Large comfortable home/space, natural surroundings (especially near bodies of water!) but still close to shops, restaurants, and so on, plus good communication with the host. We would definitely stay here again and we recommend Sabrina's place to others.

My friends and I had a lovely stay at Stacy’s place for Memorial Day Weekend. It’s tucked away in a private and quiet residential area, and the house is huge. We enjoyed hanging out on the patio under the sun umbrella and having s’mores over the bonfire at night. You’re also just a short drive to some of the best spots on Lake Minnetonka, and the driveway can accommodate multiple cars. The house is also well stocked with cooking supplies and spices, and there’s an outdoor grill! Stacy is incredibly responsive and sweet. We will definitely book again if we’re in the area.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the “Vintage Retreat!” The best word to describe this home is “charming.” The home felt cozy and welcoming. There were many small details that we appreciated greatly: small chocolates on the nightstand, hair ties and bobby pins in the bathroom, complimentary coffee coupons, and more. The place was impeccably clean and the beds were very comfortable. We would definitely stay again! Note: This is an old farmhouse and it retains the character of an old farmhouse, including steep stairs, creaky floors, and a smaller bedroom with lower door frames. Exactly what you would expect from a home built in the 1800s!

One of the rare times I felt the place looked better than the photos! I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely book again when in Minneapolis. I felt right at home, it was clean, comfortable bed, easy check-in. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, the university, Stone Arch Bridge. Very good value for the price I paid. Note that there isn’t a washer/dryer in unit, rather the building had a room, use quarters.

I enjoyed my visit at Beth's, stayed for a week and the bed was super comfortable! Great value, I highly recommend!

We loved our stay — we only wish our trip was much longer! Sara’s place was perfect for our quick overnighter to the cities. She was very easy to chat with and get help from, and she really wanted to serve us well! An amazingly cute place that’s just the right size for a couple! Loved it! Hoping to return someday!

Mark’s home was very cozy and we had everything we needed. It was well stocked with plenty of towels and basic necessities. My husband & I enjoyed a morning walk through the neighborhood and were pleasantly surprised to find Caribou Coffee nearby. My son enjoyed the massaging bed after a long day of basketball. I would highly recommend staying here!

The location couldn’t have been better—nestled in a vibrant and convenient area that made exploring the neighborhood a joy. It was the perfect blend of peaceful and accessible. The host was incredibly responsive and easy to communicate with throughout the entire booking and stay. It made the whole process seamless and stress-free, which I really appreciated. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed my time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates character, comfort, and great hospitality!

We loved our stay at this charming, clean and comfortable unit. The location was great, close to the Macalester campus, coffee shops and other local spots. Also Jean-Claude was a responsive and kind host. We would definitely come back!

This place was exactly what we needed. Super responsive hosts (within 10 min every time!). We felt right at home. Fast WiFi for work, beautiful and great location for restaurants, bike paths and even some clubs near by. We were very happy with our stay. Can’t wait to stay again.

My husband and parents and I were in town for the weekend to visit our daughter. The area was perfect and centrally located for us. The condo was clean and well kept. Jason was very responsive to questions I had regarding parking. I just wish the weather would have nicer to use the outdoor deck! I would say the only downfall (and no fault of the owner) is that it was a bit noisy at night with people outside. However, when going to a city that is expected.

We had an excellent stay at Lisa's beautiful home! It is on the ground floor but there are some stairs to reach it (back door has 6 steps down), which Lisa kindly let me know prior to booking. The location is extremely convenient and quiet, the neighborhood seemed very safe and private as well. Lisa's home was pristine with plenty of supplies for cooking and plenty of places to sit and relax. The bed was super comfortable, on the softer side but still supportive and there were black out curtains in every room which let us sleep very well. The bathroom was spotless with soft towels and Lisa had very thoughtfully left some small amenities such as toothbrushes and make up wipes etc which was an extra kind touch. The decor was awesome with lots of books and art and Lisa had left little notes everywhere explaining how her home worked and also giving interesting information! I would stay again and would highly recommend! Thank you so much again Lisa!!
