We had the pleasure of staying at the Magical Horizon in Casalsottano and we could not be more satisfied with our experience. The property is well made, with spacious and comfortable apartments that offer a breathtaking view of the sea and the Cilento countryside. The welcome from Elena and Maurizio, the owners, was extremely warm and friendly. Hemingway, rumored to have spent some time in Acciaroli, said of Italy, "Sometimes I think we only half live over here. The Italians live all the way." At Casa Speranza, I was afforded the quiet and space to access the the other half. The apartment was clean, simple, and walking distance to the Acciaroli beaches and the markets and cafes in town, and only a short drive (30-180 minutes) to some lovely walks and runs in Parco Nazionale del Cilento. Francesco and his mom and dad were very gracious hosts; check-in and parking was a breeze, and his mother Giovanna even went so far as to cook my partner and I acciuga in a red wine vinegar, garlic and mint as an unexpected surprise for lunch. We loved our stay here and would love to return!
