Holiday rentals with lake access in Central Illinois

Our family loved the country air and great fishing! We had some rain during our visit and got to enjoy the large covered deck until it passed. We hope to return again soon!

Amazing place, stunning views, and incredible amenities. We’d give it 6 stars if we could. The early morning hot tub over looking the lake was so peaceful and relaxing. From billiards, to fishing, driving golf balls into the lake, and games galore, this place is fun for the whole family! The friendly and knowledgeable host provides a river themed stay and adventure that we will never forget.

A perfect layout for an extended family representing ages from 3 to 74. The most impressive aspect was how well appointed it was. From silverware to cooking essentials to appliances, we needed nothing. Throughout the house was thoughtful touches such as games or children's toys or even a bluetooth speaker we could connect to. Outside was a fire pit that included a stack of seasoned fire wood and even fire starters and plenty of chairs that allowed us to enjoy the outdoor evening. With both upstairs and downstairs living spaces, our large group never felt crowded. With the huge dining room table we could all enjoy our meals together. After renting perhaps a hundred AirBnBs, this it the best.

Beautiful property. Stayed for a wedding in the area. Enjoyed outdoor area by the river. Loved all the windows for outdoors view. Place was as pictures and close drive to restaurants and pubs. Didn’t fix meals but a well stocked kitchen. Will stay again if in the area.

We enjoyed our stay at the Charming Cottage in Eureka. The home was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the peaceful backyard while we were in town for a wedding at The Cannery. We would definitely recommend to others!

What a great townhouse in a great neighborhood in Springfield! I was in town for the state VFW Convention. I didn't want to stay in the hotels that I knew would be packed with VFW attendees. I'm so glad to have found Tyler's home for the time frame I needed. Tyler was responsive and even let me know I could check in a couple of hours early. I felt right at home as soon as I walked in. Clean and comfortable. The lighting was perfect. The environment was oh so relaxing. The neighborhood was quiet. Coffee and creamer was available which is my love language. I slept in the bedroom with the large closet. The bed was nice and comfy. And I loved the nightstand light fixtures in there! They've thought of everything! Kitchen fully stocked with cookware, plates, bowls, cups, coffee cups, silverware. Literally anything you need to cook for an army. I sincerely appreciated the hospitality and if I need to stay in Springfield again I'll be looking for this property.

Heidi was there to greet me and was finishing tidying up when I arrived earlier than planned. She gave me a tour and even showed one of the other apartments that was not already booked for the night mage takes great pride in the wonderful transformation of her home into a great guest house. I love all the little touches around the rooms to make a person feel right at home! I’ll definitely be back next time I pass through Hannibal.

Wonderful location outside of Terre Haute. Roomy place for 5 people. We all enjoyed fishing in the lovely pond and playing pool in the large living area. The deck was enjoyable with the fire pit and a grill. We will definitely try to return next year.

We really loved Dawns cozy place along the river. Fairly priced little haven with some comforts of home. Thanks again Dawn and will see you again : )

Loved this little place. The washer and dryer saved us on our cross country travels and the place was so clean and amazing. Slept great on the comfy bed

Kimberly's place is beautiful! The lake setting is peaceful and welcoming. The home has been wonderfully remodeled. All the furniture is comfortable and fits the beauty of the home! The kitchen has everything you need from spices to pots and pans as well as a few items for leftovers too! Beds were comfy. The deck was perfect to sit and have coffee on and watch the sunrise or a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the lake! We highly recommend Kim's place!

Home is bigger and nicer than what pictures portray. Wasn’t an issue for us, but there isn’t privacy from main bedroom to living room. Super nice and quick responses for any questions. House is only 10 min from town, the restaurants in town are pretty good, but there is a really good restaurant (Richard’s Farm Restaurant) in Casey-highly recommend. There is also a small coffee cafe in Marshall that has a few gluten free options for breakfast and sweet treats. We enjoyed the day and will be back. -Also another note, electricity went off briefly while we were there and didn’t take the electric company long at all to get it back on (maybe 15-20min), so shout out to that electric co-op for being on top of their game!

Tony’s place was very welcoming and well equipped with everything anyone would need for a weekend stay. The cottage was very clean and beautifully decorated. The kitchen and bathroom appear to be new and are well stocked. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay in the area.

We had a lovely stay. it's super cute, private, and quiet. we will definitely book again. there are 13 other cabins to chose from. We also enjoyed the town and near by venues. Cool place❣️

Amber’s place is beautiful and great for a peaceful getaway. Enjoyed watching the sunset from the back deck. Plenty to do in Peoria. I would recommend this place to friends and would consider staying here again. Very clean and well decorated. Also recommend Sugar Fire-Wood Bistro for delicious pizza (Peoria) and Blue Margarita (Germantown Hills) for delicious authentic Mexican.

Beautiful little lakefront home, even when getting rained in the extension on the home installed on the basement made inside only days exceptionally fun

This was our 4th time staying at Kristen's lake house. We attend the Moccasin Creek Music Festival at Lake Sara each year and for us Kristen's lake house is the perfect place to stay for the festival. The lake house is always super clean and in perfect shape when we arrive. Firewood for the firepit out back is provided for free and they have kayaks there too. Lake Sara is a wonderful place to stay, a beautiful lake with a public beach, a disc golf course, a regular golf course, an amazing brand new public playground right by the beach and Pinky's restaurant that is right on the lake.

The house is exactly as described and what you see in the pics. We felt right at home from the start. It’s in a very quiet area and close to the park. We were able to easily walk across the street and have the beautiful gardens and play areas available to explore. It was a hot weekend and the central air easily kept up with the 100 degree heat. JJ and Sheri are great hosts! They were easy to communicate with and so helpful. They took a video of the pack and play in a few locations and asked where they could set it up for us before we arrived. Great people and I would absolutely stay again.
