Family-friendly holiday rentals in Chalcis

Anna and Menelaos were delightful hosts - friendly and helpful, & they even invited us to join them for Sunday dinner! The apartment/villa is just lovely - lots of space & fully equipped with a private wrap-around balcony (so you can find sun or shade to your preference all day), and a shared (with the hosts) garden & pool area. So lovely to come back to a little paradise after a hot day of exploring! And a great location - near enough to Chalkida that you can quickly be in the middle of the action if you wish. Note there is a relatively steep flight of stairs (as noted in the listing).

A truly stunning apartment with a truly stunning view. The apartment is extremely well equipped with everything you would need for a great holiday. The apartment is spacious enough for four adults to stay comfortably. The area is residential and quiet. The apartment overlooks a rocky shore with limited opportunities for easy access to the sea. However there are a couple of small beaches a couple of minutes away by car. Maya could not have been more helpful. Instructions were very clear and she answered our queries very quickly. A wonderful holiday apartment to relax in!

It was exactly what we were expecting of. Secluded and peaceful location with lots of space, a wonderful porch that combined with the large pool made us feel like we were home. The property delivered everything it promised!

Anastasios and his whole family were welcoming, generous, and discreet at the same time. Ready to respond to all requests at all times. We had the honor of enjoying the loukoumades with honey for breakfast and the mousaka for dinner prepared by Mrs. Katerina: second to none, both! they recommended places to visit, beaches and restaurants that are always great. we arrived three hours late and they met us halfway there, guiding us also by phone. The house is very easy to reach but the first night/night their help was essential. the house is very clean, very tidy and very comfortable. Anastasios made us find plenty of water and other drinks in the fridge, fruit and everything you could need for breakfast. Impeccable linen and towels are in abundance, with the possibility of making more changes. A truly unbeatable welcome. It was a real pleasure to be guests of Anastasios and his family.

This is a villa with a lot of character with spacious, but private grounds stretching to the shoreline and with access to a private beach, which is a massive benefit for families such as ours. The host, Despina, is friendly and very responsive. There's plenty to do in the immediate area.

George's place could not have been more perfect for our family stay. The house was spacious, in a beautiful and peaceful location and had so much on site to keep everyone (especially our 4 year old) entertained. George went the extra mile in every way from greeting us upon arrival along with freshly baked cheese pie and groceries to tide us over. He showed us the whole property in detail and offered great recommendations of places to visit, eat and even park! We would highly recommend this listing and would definitely love to visit again in the future. Thanks George!

Very beautiful space, helpful parking, good location downtown, very convenient, thoughtful and tidy apartment. Everything is impeccable.

The house was lovely, the view was fantastic. It was awesome that we were two families and we separated on the two floors and each one had its own bathroom. Kitchen and living room very convenient and big space. The balconies are awesome to stay for the hours. The back balcony - terrace is closed and has enough toys for children to work on and comfortable couches for you to relax. Communication with the host was typical and everything we needed helped us.

Maria's pictures correspond to the facts. The apartment is very very well and lovingly equipped in all areas. The house is situated in a garden with olive trees, in between there are some seating options and hammocks. We followed the address link, unfortunately arrived somewhere else. Thimios and Maria had emailed us a description, but on Googlemaps there was no road, also the note to go to Galazio Café was not to be found. A small note for those who still want to go. Café Galazio is better found on Googlemaps by entering 'Pema Galazio'. Kindly, Thimios picked us up at the port of Eretria; after that it was easy. The location of the house is very quiet, the beach is about a 10-minute walk. Thank you to Maria and Thimios for the warm welcome, the delicious welcome dinner, wine and fruit. Communication was great - fast and nice. If we go to Evia again, it's only to Maria and Thimios!

We stayed there for two days, and it was great for our three little kids. We made friends with the host family since they also have two of their own. They even made a lunch for us, and they made life much simpler for us.

We had an amazing stay at Mrs. Natasha's home! Clean, spacious with all the essentials (and more) for a comfortable stay. The pool is lovely, spotless and spacious. The communication with her was great, she helped us with everything we needed, even providing us with extra utensils to bake! If you're looking for a place for ultimate rest and relaxation, this place is the perfect place for you. We will definitely come back again! Thanks for everything!

Joanna welcomed us in her lovley cousy home in Nea Artaki. it's a great place for a couple that prefers to stay in a homey environment. there's everything you need to cook and a cute balcony to enjoy the outside. across the street is the sea with great walks all the way to the port and the restaurants area. super amazing cheap fish restaurants. thank you Joanna for a great stay!

We had a great time in Nicholas’s apartment. The house has a great location being close to a lovely beach and to many restaurants, cafes and supermarkets while still being in a quiet neighborhood. Nicholas and his mother were very welcoming and helpful with everything we needed. The house has a true Greek heritage being built by a famous Greek artist in the 60s and has a lot of character and charm. Highly recommended. Thank you for having us😊

We stayed 6 weeks and it felt like a resort. My family really liked the pool during the heat wave and the "basement" villa overlooking the sea was great for our teenagers to get away from us. Great location with easy access to shopping and the main road around Evia. Not great if you're looking for a place that doesn't need a car. The wifi is about standard for Greece and the islands. The host and his brother (Andreas) were amazing and responsive when we had problems or questions. There are several rentals within the gated area that have access to the beach, but this is the only rental with a pool and a beach. The beach is better than most public beaches on the gulf-side of Evia, but the Agean-side of Evia is where the real beaches are. I would definitely stay there again.

We felt right at home at Ioanni’s place, it was very peaceful. Very flexible and responsibe. Great pool, many balconies and extremely clean. It had all we needed! Will definitely go back again!

Excellent location that you can combine with villa leon if you want to host a big group. Great view, lot of space. Excellent for 3 families with teens for example. They have their private place downstairs! Super pool. And Christina is superresponsive and helpful to find services close by! I really advise !

Excellent Stays at Georgios place. Very well equipped. Excellent pool and view. Chalkida is about 20min drive. Lots of space and locations where we can enjoy the views and rest. Small beach accessible through a private path.

The Villa was amazing! So immaculate and spacious, the view was spectacular , everything we needed was there. Gina was the best host, from the moment she met us there to the moment she saw us off, she made us feel so welcome and at home. We were a party of 9 with two younger children and teenagers, that there was plenty for all of them to do. The swimming pool, games, table tennis, foosball. Gina is such a kind lady that nothing was too much trouble and she has a great sense of humour. She helped us with booking a boat trip, finding other beaches and activities to do. The villa was in the perfect location, not too far from shops and restaurants in a car, but remote enough you had so much privacy and it was so quiet, we felt so safe and secure in it at all times. Would definitely recommend and would definitely go back there. Thank you Gina xx

The villa is very special and the sea view is fantastic. The salt water pool is outstanding. I reported some small issues to Natalia which I recommend to deal with and she was open and welcoming it. We had great time for a large family with kids and a baby and we all would recommend the house for family events.

Beautiful house with absolutely spectacular views. The private swimming pool was also a big hit with my family. Serafeim is a fantastic host and very responsive and helpful with any questions we had. The gravel roads on the last few 100 meters to the house can be a little challenging to navigate but drive slow and carefully and you'll be fine. Would highly recommend Serafeim's place.
