Binks Cottage, a cosy rural retreat

SallyRating, 5 stars14 months ago
My sister and I really enjoyed staying in Binks cottage. Amanda and her family made us feel very welcome and we were able to see the lambs in the barn and learn about their care. The cottage is exceptionally comfortable and had everything we wanted. Excellent place to stay. Thankyou!

Wynbec Cottage

LizzyRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Excellent accommodation. Huge inside, plenty of space for 4 adults and 2 young babies. Everything was modern and very clean. The host was very responsive. The tearoom opposite was lovely! Only a 15 minute drive into the centre of Durham (recommend parking at Prince Bishops car park). Would highly recommend and we would definitely stay here again!

Mount Pleasant

My husband, myself and 3 children stayed at this property over christmas this year. To sum it up we had a wonderful time. And a beautiful family Christmas to remember. We travelled for about 2 and a half hours to stay in durham and ee were so pleased we did. Beautiful location and the most stunning views. A very safe, quiet area with parking spaces for our two vehicles. We gained entry very easily and the instructions were clear. We were greated by a beautiful clean home with a complimentary box of chocolates, The house was perfectly clean and finished to a very high spec. Although my only query was we noticed ALOT of dead flies and a small patch of mold on the bunkbed i cleaned it before my sons slept in it. The amenities were very well stocked and they made our stay so comfortable with plenty of personal touches. They even put a christmas tree up for us! Plenty to do in the local area with Bishop aukland a 5 min drive away with tons to do! We look forward to returning x

Cottage Bull Pen room at Hamsteels Hall

DarrenRating, 5 stars11 months ago
It was lovely to meet June. She was the perfect host, always available if needed but never making us feel that we were in someone else's home. The property was lovely and it was great to be greeted each day by the Ducks! I have never been to this part of the Country but it really is outstandingly beautiful and I would fully recommend both the area and in particular, June's properties. Thank You! Darren

Self Catering 18th century Farm House

JuneRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The farmhouse was just perfect for our group of 5 friends to meet and catch up in a relaxed, private and most beautiful setting. We each had a double bedroom with comfy bed and sumptuous crisp linen, and all bedrooms had a luxury en suite bathroom, spotlessly clean, and plenty of white fluffy towels. The outdoor area was amazing - beautiful views, totally private and had several picnic tables and benches. There was also a huge firepit and large barbecue which we didn't use but nice to know they were available. The inside space was just as sociable, with lots of comfy seating around an open fireplace and choice of large dining tables. Must not forget a mention the friendly dog who added to the charm of the place. He was often waiting to greet us outside the doors, ball in mouth, ever hopeful for us to play with him. However, he never barked once, nor did he cross the threshold to come inside, even doors were left open. In summary it was like home from home - a very lovely home.

Cosy home with beautiful views in Esh, Durham

KarenRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We were visiting my daughter who lives close to Esh. So we were only at the accomodation to sleep and shower but the beds were comfortable and bathroom was clean. So it ticked all the right boxes for us. Also, from upstairs, you have lovely views of the fields.
