If you are looking for a sunny village, immersed in greenery, quiet, relaxing and away from everyday traffic: Spoccia is the ideal village (height 800 meters) Spoccia is in Valle Cannobina just 13 km from Lake Maggiore where Cannobio is located (with the characteristic Sunday morning market) and Val Vigezzo (also known as Valle dei Pittori) Cà du Sulfar is a few steps from the parking lot along the characteristic main street built all in Piode. Completely renovated 2 years ago, special attention was given to the exposed beamed ceiling, to the veranda to eat a breakfast with the magnificent view of the valley and the wooden staircase that leads to the upper floor. Cà du Sulfar is built on two floors: on the first floor an open kitchen with a traditional oven and a microwave , a living room with a fireplace and a small closet with a washing machine. From the wooden staircase there is access to the veranda with a micro museum of traditional Spoccia tools. Upstairs are the two bedrooms (one double and the other with two single beds) and the bathroom windowed with shower. Since there are no shops in Spoccia, it is advisable to reach the country with a good supply of food and non-food groceries. On Thursday afternoons (around 2:30 pm) you can buy fruits and vegetables from a street vendor directly at the parking lot; always on Thursday morning there is also a bus service that reaches Cannobio with return around noon From Spoccia there are several trails that lead to pastures and viewpoints You can take trips/day trips to Verbania , to visit the fantastic park of Villa Taranto , Stresa with its Liberty style hotels, from where you can make visits to the Borromeo Islands, Orta San Giulio, from the magical medieval atmosphere From Verbania and Stresa stations, Milan and Novara

The Darsena di Villa Sardagna, since 1720 belonging to the noble villa of the same name in Blevio, is a one-of-a-kind open space, made of ancient stone, white wood and glass. The village has preserved its original character and its diverse animal and plant species to this day.
