Pet-friendly holiday rentals in Dawlish Warren

The Lair is a lovely Air BnB close enough to the coast and Salcombe to enjoy the area, but far enough away to avoid the crowds (and price tag!). We ate there a couple of nights and the kitchen facilities were great. Walkable (but uphill) from Hope Cove where we had sourdough pizza on the beach from a local converted horse trailer. The garden is fully enclosed which was brilliant - so nice to be able to let the dog out for a wee without having to wander around in PJs and slippers in public with him on a lead! The car parking is also within the enclosed space so letting the dog in and out of the car was also convenient and safe. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to visit the South Devon coast.

I was staying for work purposes so cannot comment on what there is to do nearby etc, there is a cafe directly opposite unfortunately I was unable to try it as I was setting out before they opened and I only got back once when they were still open but only 10 minutes before they closed lol. Tim's place is like the photos, it was very warm weather and whilst the porch got hot inside stayed cool which was appreciated :). Tea and Coffee with a small amount of milk was provided, which after a long drive was appreciated. A thick folder is provided with lots of local information. WiFi was great which I needed for work purposes, the shower was great and the bed was very comfy which my back can cause issues but not here, there were even sensor lights in the bedroom and hall which came on with movement which helps when it's not your home lol (I have learnt this and bring my own which I did not need to use). I would recommend and I hope to stay again when next working in the area.

A delightful secluded residence facing out over farmland. Although there is a farm and there are homes in converted farm buildings close by, you would hardly know they were there; the property has a separate entrance to the main farm that it shares with one other dwelling, which again you would hardly know was there. The property is as described and well equipped. Although the garden is very small, this is not really a problem with so much open countryside on the doorstep. Rich George was very helpful, responding quickly to our queries before arrival and welcoming us warmly with helpful advice when we got there but otherwise leaving us to enjoy our holiday. The climbing roses surrounding the decked area were divine. We can recommend North Sands beach as a paradise for dogs if they like the water; our visit was in early June and, on all but one occasion, we managed to park in one of the four road side parking spaces at the top of the beach (free for 2 hours) rather than pay to use

We went as a multi generational family and the house was perfect. An easy walk to the beaches and town centre which meant that we didn’t need to use the cars all weekend it was ideal. Thank you

We wanted to get away from it all in a part of Dartmoor we hadn't been to before and Steve's place seemed to fit the bill. When we got there, we found that it more than met our expectations! The Barn was exactly what we were looking for: a wonderful peaceful location and extremely comfortable and very well-equipped accommodation. The big selling point for us was the fact that the Barn was on lots of well-mapped walks, so that we could go on lovely walks in all directions without having to get in the car. Steve and Tessa were the perfect hosts; they made us feel most welcome and we found we had a lot in common. We very much enjoyed our short stay and look forward to returning to the Barn before long to explore the area further.

The guest cottage was exactly as described. A lovely 'home from home' with some beautiful little touches that made it a special place to stay. The cottage and garden were peaceful and private and secure for our dogs. Maxine has thoughtfully laid on so many amenities in the cottage, it just made our stay so much more enjoyable. Sidbury is a small village with a convenience store/butchers and a pub, The Red Lion. Both are within a few minutes walk of the cottage. The Red Lion was super friendly with good beer and food. An excellent host and place to stay.

We had lovely stay ! Beautiful, comfortable home in a picturesque setting. Very well equipped, had everything we needed. Venetia was very welcoming and helpful. Incredible value. Would visit again in an instant!

The host, Julie, was really helpful and responsive to our messages. Beautiful surroundings and the views from the chalet were incredible. We were visiting old friends and neighbours and it was an excellent base. The walk down into Shaldon along the golf course was convenient and stunning but be prepared for the walk back up!! The chalet had everything we needed and was really nicely decorated with comfy sofas and beds. Wish we were there longer and would love to go back.

My family and I had a fantastic time at the Golden Sands Park and we were really impressed with the caravan and its location. It was well placed for the all the entertainment facilities without being close enough to experience any disturbances. The surrounding area is picturesque and ideal for beach time and walks. We’ll definitely be booking again!

Absolutely stunning place. Louise was the perfect host answering every question I asked. The pool was a great hit with us adults and of course the children. The farm tour was lovely and Louise was very understanding when my little boy had a nose bleed whilst feeding the calves. I would highly recommend a stay at The Grange!

We loved our stay! It was the perfect location for our family’s long week away. The place was so clean and tidy and had everything we could need. Thank you so so much! We cannot wait to book to stay again!

Really lovely stay. I’m 8 months pregnant and it was a lovely little get away with my partner before the baby arrived. The pool was lovely but unfortunately it rained the entire time. The rain was beautiful to listen to though and the dog loved all the space she could have to run around. Only recommendation would be to have more cooking equipment as there was very basic amenities. As big cooks we go away to places like these and plan to cook great meals but it was hard with what is provided. Thank you very much for everything!

We had an idyllic stay at the lovely Orchard Caravan at Beara Farm. I can’t stop telling everyone about it! The caravan was perfect for me, my son and our puppy, the views were incredible and we slept so well. There were welcome biscuits, milk, apple juice from the orchard! We enjoyed 2 afternoons using the brilliant heated outdoor pool, and had some lovely dog walks right from the door. Dawn was so helpful, friendly and welcoming and the little honesty farm shop meant we could pick up some essentials fresh from the farm. The games room was great on our last morning and we are already planning to come back with family. Thanks so much Dawn and team!

The pictures are very good but you don't really get a sense of the view, which was superb or the closeness of some of the local attractions like the beach, fun fair and clubhouse wich is excellent for younger children. The place is very spacious and comfortable and the kitchen is well presented with all the utensils you might need. It has two decks which is brilliant for sunny days or eating and plenty of deck furnishings. The view, including the sunset, is lovely. We were well supported if we had any questions. Spotlessly clean and beautifully presented overall. The bedrooms, bathrooms and walk-in wardrobes were as good as described. I stayed here with my daughter and 6 year old grandson. We had a great week and its a lovely place to start and end the day.

This is a beautiful cottage with everything you will need for a seaside stay. The cottage is well equipped and all rooms are beautifully decorated. Idyllic location right in the heart of Shaldon and well placed to get to other resorts in south Devon. Nick the host responded to all my emails quickly and all instructions were super clear.

Thank you Luke & Beccy for a great few days. We needed to relax but still have amenities around us. You were right, we didn’t need to move the car once it was parked. I know we could have travelled & explored but it was more about relaxing in a home from home.

We had a lovely stay at Megan’s place, a beautiful and peaceful location with lots to explore in Dawlish Warren, Dawlish and Exmouth (via the Starcross Ferry). The Shrimp cottage was cosy and well-equipped with a friendly and helpful host.

The Lighthouse is a quirky little place really thoughtfully designed and decorated…..a small but adorable little find!! Right in the town centre and just a step from the beach….perfect! Host very responsive when needed, and had left lots of thoughtful ‘bits’ around the place…..including fresh milk in the fridge (cow & oat!)!! Would definitely recommend this place for one or two guests and plan on returning sometime!!!

John was a great host and met us at checkin for any questions we had. The annex is very clean and homely, and in an ideal position as it is between Dawlish town and Dawlish Warren. The bed was very comfy and a lovely power shower. Would definitely stay again.

This Property was absolutely stunning. A beautiful log cabin with spectacular views. Extremely quiet & peaceful with everything we needed for our Weekend away. Enclosed garden area for our dog Amber & we made use of the hot tub & fire pit. This property gets the highest recommendation from us & our host was extremely helpful both before & during our stay. We will definitely return to the Burnworthy Retreat in the future. Thank you so much for allowing us to stay in your Amazing Cabin.
