Fully self contained 2 bdrm cottage on a lifestyle farm. (Tariff is for 2 people). We have a small herd of cattle, including 3 Scottish Highlands. The bulk of the land is in native bush, with bush walks. 1 km from the Pou Herenga Tai cycle way, & about 30 mins drive from both Kaikohe & Kerikeri. With a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom with shower, dining room/lounge - it is comfortable, warm and homely. Limited Wifi and Freeview TV available. Kerikeri town centre is 5 minutes away by car and has supermarkets, post office all you need.

Our home is elevated and North facing towards the beautiful lagoon at Cable Bay. The house is open plan with a large kitchen/living/entertaining area and three generous double bedrooms. The large wrap around deck that gets sun all day. Only a short, easy 200m walk to the beach which is great for kids and swimming. Cable Bay is a great place to base yourself to explore Doubtless Bay and the surrounding treasures. The property has plenty of off street parking and room to park the boat.

We had a wonderful stay at John’s place!! The house is amazing and the views of the ocean are just incredible. John’s home is very comfortable and well furnished, and we took advantage of the hot tub and the kayaks - those things made a nice stay even better. We appreciated all of the great outdoor space and the well stocked kitchen (probably the best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had at an Airbnb). John was super host - very responsive, answered all our questions right away and even stopped by with some life jackets for the kayaks. The only small issue we had were some ants in the kitchen when we checked in. John had ant bait available and we used that right away and had no more issues during our stay. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We had a fantastic time at Nikki and Chris’s place. The house is spacious, comfortable, and set in beautiful surroundings. Even in winter, we made the most of the backyard and loved relaxing in the spa pool. The bedrooms can get a bit chilly, but the extra blankets were a thoughtful touch. The fireplace kept the rest of the house warm and cosy throughout our stay. The beds were super comfortable, and the house was spotless. Thanks so much, Nikki and Chris, for your warm hospitality and great communication — we hope to come back in summer!
