Holiday rentals with a fire pit in Douro-Dummer

Our stay was more than we could have asked for. This Airbnb is a hidden gem. We’ve been to many Airbnbs all over the world, and I can tell you this one is really special. The garden is very spacious, with friendly little cows in the background. The inside is also spacious thanks to the beautiful high ceilings. The decor and original church aesthetic they kept makes you feel at home. The outdoor annex for extra guests is so cozy and cute!! it really comes in handy if you are more than two. This Airbnb truly has everything a household needs, from bug spray to doggy bags. We’re usually honest and critical about Airbnbs, and we don’t shy away from pointing out things that could be improved, but with this one, we truly have nothing bad to say. We would come back in a heartbeat!

Tanya and Peter were very responsive and their place is so lovely! So peaceful! They really have thought of everything. Thank you very much! Would recommend to couples looking to have a unique place to stay and just have time together.

Jane and Lori were amazing hosts and the property was beautiful! It had everything we needed from kitchen supplies to beach chairs and sports equipment! The area is very secluded in nature and it was very quiet and peaceful! The house was also very clean and comfy!

We had a lovely stay at Braden’s place. The home was a perfect gateway for 2 people. Big plus for having plenty of firewood for the guests to use. The home was clean & had all the amenities for a great relaxing stay.

James' Lakehouse was the perfect getaway. Incredibly clean, comfortable, quiet and a gorgeous location with easy access to all PEC has to offer.. The hottub with the view of the lake was the cherry on top. We'll definitely be back!

Very nice stay, if we are ever in Port Hope again we will be staying here! Close to downtown, and the place is private and well kept! Would recommend!

Sebastian’s place was absolutely wonderful, my husband and I came for our one year anniversary with no set plans about what we wanted to do in the area. The place was gorgeous, perfect little home away from home, in the mornings we drank our coffees on the front deck watching the butterflies in the garden, and in the evenings the hot tub barn made for a really beautiful evening hangout. Sebastian included a great bulletin board of things to do in the area with a fun ranking system so during the day my husband and I made a little road trip out of the most recommended attractions. I highly recommend the Petroglyph provincial park - it genuinely took our breath away. Thank you Sebastian for such a wonderful stay!

Derek and Doreen were extremely friendly, responsive, and hospitable, everything in the suite and in the backyard was as shown, if not better. They even gave us a gift as we had mentioned our wedding day was the day prior, couldn’t recommend them and this place enough, we would book again in a heart beat, thanks for everything Derek and Doreen!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Simona’s place! The property was beautiful with serene lake access, and the two decks made our evening hangouts especially comfortable and enjoyable. The house was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed for a stress-free and relaxing stay. Simona was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she went out of her way to make our visit comfortable, especially with our infant. Her thoughtfulness and hospitality truly made a difference. Wonderful hosts with outstanding HOT homemade breakfasts! Really appreciated the extra perks of magnifier make-up mirror, house coat, lush towels, several Keurig coffee pod choices and 2 choices for my own private exterior sitting area. Level access and close parking to entrance, extra wide interior doors. MaryAnn was spot on for my food choices even including 10% cream for my morning coffee and crisp bacon. Very large space with two large bedrooms, slept like a baby and the TV included all the streaming you would want Close to Art College and short drive into town of Haliburton. It was a bit chilly for June but Gerry turned on the propane fireplace then all was cozy. Book it - you won't be disappointed!

The apartment was spotless and had everything I needed, including an iron and ironing board. I really appreciated all the local information provided in a binder (which saved me having to do some homework ahead of time), including details about the trails. I hiked up to a beautiful lookout which was just 7min away. The bed was so comfortable and greatly appreciated having the duvet. Highly recommend this Airbnb!

A couple of things that stood out for us was the abundance of towel racks and hooks in the bathroom as well as dimmers on all of the overhead lights (such a relief from glare!). We would stay here again.

Second time staying at this spot, and it was just as perfect as the first time. Very peaceful spot that makes great use of its space. Excellent outdoor kitchen, try clean washroom and the cabin is very cozy and warm. Fire pit is great for enjoying the night and watching the stars. So many awesome lakes very close to here and beautiful little towns as well. Thank you Christine!

Quaint, private, & beautiful! Mackenzie was an amazing host. The cabin was well stocked for all our needs & we felt very welcome! Thanks for sharing your cabin with us, we are going to miss sitting by the pond each morning!

We had a great time staying at the cabin this past weekend. The setting was peaceful and rustic, surrounded by beautiful farmland — a perfect place to unwind. We really enjoyed the fishing and the slower pace.

Could not be happier with our stay. Everything was exactly how it looked and communication with Jasmine was effortless, She also let us check in early with our 2 year old wish was great. Great place to stay, highly recommend.
