The Retreat @ Solway House is a cosy 1-bed annex tucked away in our garden in the peaceful hamlet of Rigg, just 1 mile from Gretna Green. Our semi rural location is only a 3 mile drive from the M6/and just off the A75, the perfect stop over to break up any car journey, we provide parking for one car on our driveway. The Annex is a self-contained tiny home with its own private entrance, featuring a double bed, log burner, cosy sofa area, shower room, and a fully equipped kitchen/dining area.

The cottage required total renovation and took almost a year to get everything perfect. Bookings are from Friday to Friday. 2 king size bedrooms, one ensuite with a further 2 single beds and wc on the mezzanine level. A bathroom with shower over the bath. Fully furnished kitchen with washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher. We have a dog secure garden and a shed to lock bikes in. We are between 10/30 mins from 3 of the 7stanes cycling trails and 6 miles from several beaches or hills for walking. You are 5 mins drive away from the market town of Castle Douglas.

There is also a large private decking area with its very own wood fired hot tub and barbecue, all wood supplied.
