Cabin holiday rentals in Dundee

Our stay was very well organized and had easy directions to follow. We really enjoyed the quiet cabin/lake weekend and will possibly be looking to return in the future, during a warmer month. Darrel was our host and he was very kind and welcoming. Overall a very nice stay.

Very responsive hosts. We did a same night check in and they were accommodating for being last minute. We celebrated our anniversary and they even left us a little surprise.

The perfect weekend getaway! They set the cabin up with everything you would need to be entertained or find adventures around the area! The cabin was extremely clean, and the property was beautiful! The hosts were responsive to questions! Will definitely be back.

Trout Lodge was a perfect spot for a fishing trip with some buddies. Paint Creek is easily accessed just a few yards from the cabin. Great for fishing and for sitting around watching wildlife. The cabins matched the description, and was well worth the price.

Samantha is very accommodating and I felt so welcome and relaxed during my entire stay.

Our stay here was so excellent! We loved being on an acreage and getting to interact with the goats, chickens, dog, and cat! The Airbnb was so cute and we loved the deck off the back. The goats liked to hang out back there and it made my day. This location was so beautiful and scenic. We used their map to check out the walking trail, and tried almost every recommendation in their guide book! It was located so close to Dubuque, but gave a nice secluded feel. The hosts were so sweet, and I loved interacting with them! They even left a birthday card with homemade chocolate chip cookies on the front porch for us. What a sweet touch!! 🥰 I would definitely stay here again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Incredible Stay! This Airbnb far exceeded all of our expectations! Tucked away in a quiet and beautifully secluded location, it offered the perfect peaceful retreat for our group of 11. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy, and the home was even better than the photos—truly stunning in person. The host was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout the entire experience, making everything seamless from start to finish. After 9 years of our annual Memorial Day camping trips, this was by far the best place we’ve ever stayed. We’re already talking about coming back next year. Highly, highly recommend!

What an awesome place! We rented the cabin last minute for a little family getaway. The cabin is nestled in the woods and just absolutely fabulous! It is so peaceful and just perfect. Everything was clean, well stocked, and exactly as described. Chris was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions. There is so much room here! Chris literally thought of everything! We look forward to returning during the summer.

Cocorico Cabin was off the beaten path, which is what we were looking for. We could sit on the deck and listen to the multitude of birds and watch deer and turkeys from the front porch. It was the perfect base to explore the Mississippi River Valley. Our dog loved her morning walks down the driveway to enjoy the sunrise.

Our stay at the cabins was really nice and cozy! My favorite part was watching the wild life outside and I got to see I nice buck chasing a doe out back by the river

We loved our stay! The deck with an amazing view was spectacular and the house has everything we needed.

A delightful retreat. A frames have a special charm and this one definitely stands above the rest. Excellent views & easy to operate gas stove made for cozy couch and reading time. This felt like a well loved home instead of a stale guest residence run by a rental agency, which always makes the experience more personalized. Kent was very communicative and provided plenty of detail about the space and its quirks. Would return again.

We had a great time exploring the area and relaxing in this lovely cabin. As other reviewers have said, communication with the hosts was great and they are very accommodating. The cabin is extremely clean and everything provided reflects good taste and quality, especially compared to most other places where we’ve stayed. It was very peaceful to watch and listen to the many birds, and although the occasional car could disturb the peace during the day, it was not an issue for sleeping. In case this is informative for others, the bed mattress is on the soft side and the bathroom is located right next to the kitchen. Overall, we would definitely recommend this cabin to anyone looking to explore the area.

We loved our 3 day stay! The 3 acre pond was great for some light fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding and swimming. My 11 and 13 year old boys were entertained. The beds are VERY comfy and the showers had great water pressure. We also enjoyed the outdoor seating, including a checkers table, fire pit area and other seating areas. Outdoor games were fun too! Outside there was a dog and cat that we enjoyed, they were very sweet and friendly! Kitchen amenities were great and had everything we needed to cook. Close drive to Decorah, which we enjoyed as well! Highly recommended for a private getaway that’s also close to a town with lots to do.

We absolutely loved it! It was very clean and what the description said. the view was beautiful and it was secluded. It was close to Larsens ATV park. It was everything that we thought it would be. would definitely stay there again!

Wonderful, cozy cottage with great view and beautiful birdsong all day long. Sunrise and sunsets a great bonus! Nice view of the river and good bird watching spot. Clean, organized and that at-home feeling.

The cabin was exactly as described! I am not sure why/how people are "surprised" by the train noise when it is stated so clearly in the description. Yes, it is loud.... but we knew that going in and found it quite unique! We made a game of having a Jello-shot when it went by :) *thanks to the suggestion of another reviewer!* We enjoyed local sight-seeing, watching the boats on the river, and soaking in the hot tub. The cabin was well equipped and there is a gas station/convivence store right across the road if you need anything. Laura was an amazing host! Very friendly and responsive to questions. We plan to return again next year :)

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Exceptional Stay – Above and Beyond Hospitality! We had an unforgettable stay at this beautiful riverside cabin. The location is serene, peaceful, and the perfect place to relax and reconnect with nature. But what truly made our experience exceptional was our host. We ended up getting stuck on the river with our kayaks, and without hesitation, our host came to the rescue. He showed up with his 4x4 ATV and went out of his way—literally—to help us out. He shuttled the kayaks back to the cabin one by one, making what could have been a stressful situation into something we’ll be laughing about for years. It was clear that he genuinely cared about our comfort and experience. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway. But it’s that kind of above-and-beyond hospitality that sets this place apart. We can’t recommend it enough, and we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you again for your kindness and generosity!

A great time as always at Katherine’s place! House is big enough for a ton of people to feel comfortable and there’s plenty of stuff there to keep everyone entertained when you’re not on the river or in town. Can’t wait to go back.

We had a great time at Ben's. It's a lovely spot, private, with beautiful woods. No light pollution means gorgeous night skies. You can barely glimpse the nearest neighbor, and won't be able to at all in the summer. The house is super-clean, no clutter, with comfortable furniture. Lots of cozy blankets and great wifi (if you have to work!). It's a great home base for a Grant County visit. Ben was very responsive. One note: all beds are in a loft, so if you have any mobility concerns with steep steps or ladders, this might not be the best choice for you.
