The dune house is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing time on Ameland. Located directly on the dunes, you can experience the nature of the island in all its facets. The house is tastefully decorated and has everything you need for a relaxed stay. Geertje is a great host and communication with her was very pleasant. We will be happy to come back and can absolutely recommend a stay dune house!

We had a very nice stay as a family in the very spacious house. The large living room was particularly nice, the kitchen offers everything you need. Jaap was very helpful, gave us tips and was very flexible with a late check-out. The area is wonderfully quiet and idyllic.

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

We had two beautiful days at the house. It is quiet. There are also two supermarkets in the village. There is a lot to do in the region. But the house also invites you to linger. Both saunas were really great. We'll be sure to recommend

The location and the house certainly contributed to the beautiful memories we made during our annual getaway with sisters, mother, brother and aunt!

We had a great time in this beautiful cottage in the countryside. The welcome was very warm, the cottage was clean and very characterful. We completely relaxed and the jacuzzi was great. We expected the pool to be open, but in the end we had a great time swimming in the Canada lake and with long walks. Highly recommended for anyone looking for beautiful nature and tranquility.

Just a wonderful week behind us in this cottage. Wonderful surroundings by the water. Quite private in terms of neighbors, but quite a few boats that pass by. The teenagers enjoyed themselves with the canoe, the weather was really a gift this week. Super nice that there are screens for everything, slept wonderfully with windows open. Everything has been thought of, in terms of kitchen furnishings but also in terms of amenities such as washing machine, extra blankets, etc. Tip: if you are here, take the pound to the other side (bring cash) to explore the village but especially to sit by the water on the terrace. The only thing we regretted is that we actually wanted to rent a boat but were late with that. Furthermore, it is a wonderful environment where you can discover nature (all the feans) but also Burgum and Dokkum are recommended. In short: super successful vacation and nice cottage!

We had a great time in Sneek and the accommodation was just perfect for us. Plenty of space, everything you need was available and really tasteful and yet practical. The terrace and the whirlpool are special highlights and Petra spoiled us with small snacks and cold drinks on arrival. The location of the house is great, you can walk very quickly to the city center with many restaurants as well as the supermarket and yet it is quiet and we were able to sleep relaxed. We were also allowed to use the bicycles and took a small tour. All around beautiful!

We had a wonderful week. The house has all the comforts, including a very nice kitchen. The sun in the front garden was also nice, where we could have had a quiet breakfast. The location is nice and quiet, so we were really able to sleep very well. In the area we enjoyed the nature, the tranquility and the friendly people. The reception was warm and personal, even our dog Bettie received a warm welcome. All in all recommended, we will definitely come back there. Finally, I would also like to mention Dokkum, a very nice town with special shops and good restaurants. Thank you Coen and Anne (and Marianne) for this beautiful, nice week. Very nice location in a quiet village. Leeuwarden is within cycling distance and easy to get to other cities by car. You can charge an electric car at the house: very easy because there are not many other charging points in the village. House is neatly decorated, spacious and looks quite new. Recommended!

We enjoyed our stay and had a fantastic time in Midwolde. It was easy to start our bike tours from here. The sauna and all other amenities were outstanding! A very tasteful intererior design. The beds were so comfortable, we really enjoyed our stay!

A beautiful cottage on the Dokkumer Ee. The opportunity to ride canoes and SUPs - right in front of the living room - is great. The location is very quiet, perfect for relaxing. Hagar is even more perfect! A super nice hostess, always explaining things, very helpful.

We felt very comfortable! Particularly positive to highlight: Hotze got us bicycles and brought them to the accommodation as well as picked them up again! Also a small attention (juice, snacks, chocolate) on arrival made us feel immediately comfortable! Great view from the terrace, everything very clean! We will be happy to come back!

Upon our arrival, we met Aly by chance and she was immediately very friendly. The house looked neat and clean and the peace that prevailed is great when the weather is a little better, I think. For us, it was a couple of nights as we went to ride the Elfstedentocht with the motorbike and did not see much of the immediate surroundings. But certainly a place to come back to even without motorcycles and then explore the area. Aly, thank you so much for letting us stay with you and your family and hopefully see you next time. We spent two relaxing days and nights as a family in the cute cottage in Terhakle. The cottage is even prettier in reality than in the photos, the beds are very comfortable, everything was very tidy and clean and we lacked nothing. The environment is very quiet, pure nature! From here you can reach many pretty Frisian towns like Sneek in a few minutes by car. We will definitely come back!!!

What an excellent house to stay. Very great surroundings, quiet and beautiful stargazing at nights. Close enough for travelling around Friesland and/or visiting the isles of Ameland/Schiermonnikoog. The house itself has all features you need. Great kitchen, very good beds and big badroom. Highly recommended for a stay.

A fantastic vacation home with incredibly warm landlords. We had a wonderful time with 2 toddlers, 4 adults and our senior dog. Super equipped kitchen, cozy living room, comfortable beds and a great terrace let you spend a wonderful vacation. Many beautiful experiences are possible around Grou, for people of all ages. But the best thing was the unconditional willingness to help when we were stranded because unfortunately the car key ended up in the trunk, the car locked! Everything in it! And we now had to drive to Germany with car 2 to get a spare key… Thank you Auke & Marie Christine that we were allowed to wait safely with you 🙏

The owner Lammert is the best Airbnb owner I have ever met. He is very kind and well prepared for everything in the apartment. The house looks exactly the same as the photos. All the decorations and furniture let me feel like home. Their some beautiful forest close to the house. During morning or evening you could be able to walking in the forest and enjoy the fresh air. Strongly recommend for anyone who would like to stay in this small beautiful town for a nice vacation. For sure I’ll stay in this house for next time.

Had a great time. We had beautiful weather, but the hot tub was still nice, especially for the kids. Close to the water and a lot to do nearby for those looking for.

We had a wonderful and relaxing vacation in Geert's cozy cottage. It is very idyllic and quiet, located directly on a small lake, and we were able to unwind wonderfully. Geert was easily accessible and friendly. Everything was very clean and tidy. We liked it so much that we booked the next vacation with Geert right away.

We had a great time in this beautiful house right on the water! The location is simply fantastic - you can look directly onto the water from every room. The house is very modern, stylish and designed with great attention to detail. The kitchen has a lot of kitchen appliances and spices. In general, nothing was missing in the equipment. A small note for those with pollen allergies: There is a lot of nature in the area, which is beautiful - but it is advisable to have allergy medication with you if you are sensitive. We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the house!
