Great spot with all the basics needed for a short stay

For people who like nature and hiking this is a jam! Easy to get there from London either going to Lewes (30 min walk) or Brighton (3-4h hike with great views). The sauna is the cherry on top after a long day out in the nature. Sian was very friendly and welcoming, and gave us plenty of suggestions. The hut is cozy with comfortable bed and good board game selection for late evenings. Local people are very friendly and it is lovely to walk to the nearby pubs along the hiking path. We highly recommend to visit The Abergaveny Arms, food is something else! Also Off the Wagon pop up pub is great. We will definitely come back.

Lovely hut inside and out, set within lovely gardens. Plenty of places to relax outside, especially the hot tub. We drove to the Bell at Broadway, lovely pub for food with plenty of options and majority can be gf too, including the home made pizza with a large selection of toppings.

An absolutely gorgeous place to stay. The location was wonderful, you felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, despite there being a pub next door! Lots of walks or cycles from the door, yet 2 minutes from a main road. The house was beautifully decorated and great bedrooms, lovely linen and comfy beds, with fantastic bathrooms. Everything you needed to cook for yourself and great recommendations of things to do and places to go. We had ponies outside our garden! Paul was a great host, responsive and helpful, really welcoming and very kind regarding checking in and out. We were there to celebrate a few things and felt it was absolutely the place for that. The pub next door under new owners was very friendly but did not disturb us at all. Thank you Paul, we had a great stay and would highly recommend it.

Perfect location for relaxing, everything you need, even homemade cake, yummy, and walking if you want to, although some quite steep hills. We walked to Watermouth Castle, then took a bus to Ilfracombe, we walked to Coombe Martin then over the hills and back. Watch the bus times tho! The outside bath is a must and the fresh flowers and milk are a lovely extra touch too! Be careful to duck in and out of the horsebox door but the shower is hot and powerful. We had a lovely time in our little piece of North Devon for a long weekend 😀

Lucy's retreat was a beautiful place to stay, the perfect couples getaway. She left local reccomendations, great directions, a birthday banner and even some treats for us, such thoughtful touches. Everything was perfect and spotless, great place to take our dog to. I couldn't reccomend this place enough thanks so much for a lovely getaway *****

Will and Gill were amazing hosts. We had an issue where we lost our car key while on a beach walk and they could not have been more helpful. Regarding the shepherd's hut itself, it was everything we hoped for. More spacious than appears I'm the photos and was more than enough room for two adults , two kids and a dog. Nicely furnished and well kitted out, it had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Hot tub was a big hit with kids and adults alike. Very private and peaceful with large field for the dog to run around , it really had everything. Would recommend in a heartbeat.

Thank you so much for hosting us Tracy. The hut was perfect, beautifully furnished with lots of thoughtful touches. The best bit was the location, private and secluded. The view from hut was just of rolling hills - no buildings or even roads in sight! A place to unwind and de-stress.

We had such a wonderful stay for my partners birthday, Clive went the extra mile to make us feel welcome by putting up some birthday decorations and leaving us some treats for when we arrived. It's a perfect place to get away and unwind in nature, we were always surrounded by animals whether it was Norman the cat visiting during a bbq, hanging out with the goats, or watching the ducks drift about in the stream while relaxing in the hot tub. Thank you very much to Clive and Nikki for hosting us. I cannot recommend Kingfisher enough, we truly had an amazing time :)

This was a weekend away for my partners birthday, Nat and mark were extremely helpful to get some things organised like champagne and banners in and ready for our arrival. The hut was absolutely beautiful me and my partners birthday loved every minute we were there. Communication between myself Nat and mark was outstanding,all questions answered promptly along with some great recommendations for places to visit aswell as restaurants to eat. If we could give more then 5 star ratings we would it really was a magical stay. Thank you guys.

The Shepard’s hut was the perfect, quiet and rural stay we needed to switch off from our busy lives! The Shepards Huts are set in the woodland area of the hosts drive, but far enough away from each other and their home. They are cosy, private and peaceful. Abbie has placed lots of small things that have a real homely touch. From board games to tea, milk and cakes which were left for us on arrival. (Always a win!). The hut is in a brilliant location with lots of popular towns and village's being only 20/30 minutes drive. We drove to Watergate Bay and for an evening dog walk along the beach and take away pizzas one evening. It only took a 20 minuet drive and I highly recommend as it was an amazing sunset! Although the Hut is set back from the local village, you could easily walk there. There is a small village pub, shop and a takeaway I really can’t fault this place and highly recommend to anyone booking a stay here. Thank you for having us and we will hope to come back again!

A lovely evening at Deborah’s Shepard’s hut watching the sun set over the sea. Despite it being one of the hottest days this year the breeze came in through the windows and it was an extremely comfortable night. A lovely spot for a night of relaxation. I can see it would be cozy in the winter months with the wood burner!

The Hideout was in an absolutely stunning location and the accomodation was so cosy and comfortable, it was a perfect weekend

Lovely few days stay at the cabin. We probably spent most of the time on the porch looking out into the woodlands. Everything was as described. It was an incredibly peaceful place to unwind. Would be more than happy to visit again. Communication was excellent. Many Thanks!

We had the most amazing stay. The attention to detail is felt throughout the whole stay. We loved the scones, the prosecco, the dressing gowns and the book with all of your top tips was fabulous. Ronnie, our Poochon, loved the dog treats too. Thanks for an amazing stay.

It was a wonderful experience in a cozy little hut. Everything was beautifully decorated — you can tell it was done with love. The house has everything you need for a comfortable stay, and the views are amazing. We’ve never seen such a starry sky and breathed such fresh air anywhere else. It’s peaceful, quiet, and very cozy. The only thing to keep in mind is that if you don’t have a car, it might be difficult to travel around.

We had such a lovely stay at Bluebell. The hut is so beautifully decorated with so many nice touches. Did some lovely walks, I would say maybe worth booking/looking into the local pubs in advance to book/choose a spot as there is no service at the hut, but either way there are some lovely walks and pubs recommended and we got on fine. The outdoor space is so lovely and you have all the facilities that you need. Thank you for our gorgeous stay!

Beautiful accommodation and Sharon was a lovely host. Messaged us with helpful instructions on how to find the accommodation ahead of time. Made us feel at home. Just what myself and my partner needed for a spontaneous relaxing weekend away! Sharon’s dogs are also so lovely and always welcome you at the gate. Honestly the nicest Air B&B I’ve ever stayed in. We really didn’t want to leave. The setting is perfect, so private we didn’t see anyone except the cows in the neighbouring field. The huts are so beautiful, and well thought out. We had everything we needed. The hot tub was a lovely place to relax. Becky was a great host, responded immediately but left us to enjoy the peace and quiet. I would highly recommend.

Absolutely dreamy weekend for me and my dog. Emily was a brilliant host. Very helpful before I arrived and so welcoming when we met. The hut is gorgeous. Super clean with thoughtful touches. The enclosed garden was perfect for my dog to explore and I could relax knowing he couldn’t get out. I spent the day time exploring the local countryside with a lovely circular walk to Firle through the quiet fields. Stopped for a drink at the Ram Inn, locals were very friendly. In the evening, I enjoyed the peace and quiet, watching the wildlife and the neighbouring cows. We had quite a bit of rain during my stay but the hut was super cosy and warm. I slept very well. I already can’t wait to come back! An idyllic set up in a stunning location. Thanks Emily!

Had a lovely stay here. Peaceful location, friendly host (and spaniel who dropped in for a visit) and the hut is nice. Clean, cosy and I appreciated the small touches like fresh flowers and milk, would definitely return
