Luxury cottage - river views, balcony and hot tub

EmilyRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
What a wonderful place for a peaceful break away. The house was so comfortable with all the amenities needed. The hot tub was a lovely addition too! My son, who loves wildlife photography, absolutely adored the river. He spent every possible moment down there photographing Kingfishers! I would definitely recommend to anyone who loves birds and wildlife.

Lakeside Barn w/ fantastic views & Hot-Tub

KarenRating, 5 stars3 months ago
We arrived on the Friday for a 3 night stay. The Barn is in a beautiful place inside and out. The Hot Tub was lovely on an evening and the patio fire was great to sit around for drinks early evening watching the Sun go down. Casterton village is only a couple of miles from Kirkby Lonsdale. The village its self had a gorgeous pub 7 mins walk from the Barn which had a great range of food and served Sourdough pizza on Sunday evening after 1700hrs with a lovely warm atmosphere and open fires. There is a great taxi service and some fabulous restaurants near to the Barn. The Black Bull and the Highwayman were fabulous. (We did go to Number 9 also and it was not somewhere I could recommend, service and food really poor.) Patrick and Anika were great responsive hosts and this is a do not miss property, that offers every you need for a fabulous stay. Our little group loved it. Thank you Karen, Denise and Naomi

6* Lux 2 Bed Cottage on Island Near Lake District

GillianRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Hermitage cottage was in a beautiful situation right on the river Lune. The cottage was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the hot tub, the barbecue and the outdoor seating. We were extremely fortunate with the weather and really enjoyed our stay. Walks around the estate were lovely. It is a lovely base to explore the Forest of Bowland and surrounding areas.

We had the best stay! Lisa’s home is beautiful and cosy. We felt relaxed as soon as we stepped in. Lisa was extremely thoughtful to have left us a welcome gift for us and our dogs The dogs loved the blankets provided and the extra treats The beds were so comfortable and clean. Everything was spotless Lisa was kind enough to offer an earlier check in on the day. We climbed Scaffell pike and went to Seascale Beach. It was a perfect stay with family Would hugely recommend !!

Absolutely beautiful cottage, the photos don't do this place justice! the interior has been throughly thought about and matches the cosy countryside vibes perfectly. Check in was easy, and the location being a short walk to Windermere was great. The home made brownies were a lovely touch too. We'll definitely be back!

Wasdale Head Hall Farm Holiday Let

DanielRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay at this lovely cottage on Wastwater. The setting is stunning — right on the lake and surrounded by beautiful walking routes, perfect for exploring with our 18-month-old and dog. The cottage is tucked away on a peaceful farm with a great outdoor seating area to enjoy the views. It’s quite remote, with the nearest proper shop about 30 minutes away, but the nearby campsite shop (just half a mile down the road) had the essentials we needed. Other than that, everything was perfect. A truly relaxing break in a beautiful location — we’d definitely recommend it!

Ashdene Cottage with enclosed ‘sun trap’ garden

NicolaRating, 5 stars6 days ago
Wonderful stay in Staveley. The cottage was perfect and very well looked after and everything you need. The beds were so comfortable we didn’t want to get up! Perfect location for exploring the Lake District with a bus stop 1 minute walk from the cottage and bus service was very reliable. Very peaceful and great garden to relax in after a day of exploring. Would definitely recommend a stay here if you’re looking for a base in the Lake District.

Lovely, cosy cottage. Very warm, despite the inclement weather. Under floor heating was lovely! We lit a fire one evening, although we didn't really need it, and it was great!

Modern Boutique village set cottage near Scafell

RajwinderRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This was a cosy little cottage, perfect for the 3 us. The kitchen had all the utensils we needed to cook ourselves, and location was perfect as there were a few restaurants within walking distance. It was not far from Wasdale and Scafell Pike. Communication with Natasha was great throughout, even after we checked out; she tried to help us locate a missing item. I would 100% recommend and most definitely return again. A really pleasant stay.

Lakeland cottage in Dockray by Ullswater & Keswick

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had a fantastic stay at Knott's View; the cottage was lovely, the garden a sun trap, and the surroundings were beautiful. We enjoyed lots of walks straight from the door - so many loops, including Gowbarrow Fell with amazing views of Ullswater and then back through Aira Force waterfalls late one sunny evening. The pub opposite is good for a pint and pub food, and we visited Keswick (great tapas restaurant) and Pooley Bridge too, as well as Grenridding - all 10 to 20 min drive. Chris and Ruth were really helpful throughout.

The Place, Loweswater. Utter tranquillity.

ElizabethRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful stay at The Place. The location is breathtaking, and the house itself is perfect - every detail is beautiful and well thought-out, and Lucy had provided anything one could think of. Everything was of very high quality, from the bed linen and towels to the kitchen equipment. We were all adults, but if you have children, there are lots of toys, games, and activities, so that even on rainy days, there is plenty to do. Great walks nearby, perfect both for those who like hills and those who prefer flatter ground - Buttermere and Crummock are wonderful low ground walks, and of course the walk though Holme Woods to the Kirkstile is lovely. Thanks, Lucy and Nick!

Charming cottage in the heart of The Lake District

HelenRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Robinson Place Farm is an idyll. The setting is perfect. Everything is thought out and carefully chosen with an eco/sustainable ideal. That doesn't mean hair shirt, that means sheepskin throws and a wood burner, water from the fell, swifts in the eaves. The house is immaculate and unbelievably comfortable. We had a party of six adults and there was more than enough room for everyone. The sofas in the living room were cushy, perfect for looking out at dual aspect views. The kitchen was well equipped with a big table and local coffee. Everyone slept like babies in the top quality beds and linen. There are two bathrooms which was great. We cannot express enough how stylish but also how homely and comfortable this place is. Jennie was friendly, welcoming and helpful and hats off to her and her lovely kids. Perched on the side of the valley there are great walks straight from the door and Ambleside is a short drive (10 mins tops) if you need a fix of civilisation.

Damson Cottage, English Lakes

RobinRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We needed a place handy enough for my friend to make his first ascent of Scafell Pike. Madonna 's place is well placed for that and for walking in the SW Lakes. In fact, it's in a lovely location, the Esk Valley. It's quiet, surrounded by farmland and grazing animals, handy for the coast, handy for the mountains and only a short walk from a station on the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway. It's simple, clean, comfortable accommodation. Recommend !
