Historic Cottage for nature lovers

Our little bakery originally dates back to the 17th century and belonged to a large Lower Saxony farm, which unfortunately no longer exists. Jutta acquired the house a good 20 years ago and made it into a small oasis with a lot of love for detail. Located in a village of 1000 inhabitants with a village store, bank and gas station, you can find peace and relaxation under the huge oak trees. Expanded bike paths invite you to cycle. The rural environment offers plenty of nature.

There is plenty of space to linger in the large garden. Play facilities for children. Chickens, 2 cats Minka and Fridolin and our Labrador dog Lotta. In the north of the Dümmer Nature Park, between the Diepholz bog lowlands and Rehden Geestmoor, where the cranes winter, lies this small half-timbered house in a very quiet rural location. There is a kitchen, 1 living room, 2 bathrooms, 1 bedroom and the attic studio available on approx. 70 m² of living space. Terrace, garden and parking at the house are included. Smokers and urinators must stay outside. Dogs are allowed in, but not in bed.

A mini oven, a microwave and a 2-burner stove are available, shopping and restaurants are about 300 m away, the train station is a 10-minute walk. A double bed of 1.40 m width incl. a loft bed of 0.90 m, suitable for up to 3 people. Lovingly prepared 2020.

Circus wagon on the alpaca pasture - pure relaxation!

At Alpakahof Strange, we live with many animals on an old farmstead from 1848. The Lower Saxony hall house is still in its original condition in some parts and exudes the charm of a long-gone rural tradition. In the pasture behind the farmhouse stands the spacious circus wagon. The wagon shares the pasture with our llamas and alpacas, who graze and rest there during the day. Pure relaxation!

In nice weather, you can have breakfast outside on the terrace or make yourself comfortable on one of the loungers. Beautiful designated bike and hiking trails invite you to relax.
