Holiday rentals with a fireplace in Fairfax County

It was awesome because it was close to my son’s condo. We helped him move and it was fantastic to come back to a clean place and a place to come back to that wasn’t a hotel room! The driveway also was just what we needed for the move-in trailer! We will probably stay there again!

Krissia's house was near everywhere we wanted to go..DCA airport, Nationals Park, and George Mason University. Great value for the area.

I had a wonderful stay at this house! The host was exceptionally welcoming, responsive, and thoughtful. The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a smooth and comfortable experience. Would definitely stay again!

This was a short-notice trip, so our options were limited. We were fortunate that Diana & Vivek's place was available. It was more expensive than we're used to, but it was well worth it! There was great communication before and during our stay. The house was spotlessly clean. What really made it stand out was all kitchen stuff: spices, tools, snacks, drinks. I ended up needing to bake cupcakes & everything I needed was there except the mix, eggs, and frosting! The neighborhood was quiet - just what we needed. The backyard was big & beautiful, too. We'll happily stay there again if it's available when we travel to the D.C. in the future.

Ron's place was lovely and high end. The air conditioning was so welcome in the heat. Also, unusual to have a washer and dryer available. We loved the neighborhood. So beautiful. My daughter and I enjoyed walking the "hood" every morning. Ron was very responsive to our requests and questions.

The rooms were very large. The living area was very comfortable and well set up with furniture and large TV. The kitchen was huge and it was large enough so one person could be watching TV and the other could be sleeping in the bedroom with no noise. Since the location in the basement, we can hear the pipes with water running through. Could hear some sounds above, but not too much. The shower is a bit small and located in a closet, the kitchen has a hot plate which was helpful. The location was close to a bus route to a metro station on weekdays, however, it was a bit of a walk to restaurants and stores since I had no car when my wife took the car to work. Over all it was a great place to stay and the host was very helpful.

What a lovely, cared-for home in a quiet neighborhood, within driving distance of anything we wanted. We had everything we needed, as well as responsive, helpful hosts. It was ideal for a toddler, parents, and grandparents. Thanks so much for being able to help us out when our other reservation fell through at the last minute- we ended up in a place that was perfect and so much better than our original plan would have been!

The house was exactly as listed. The rooms were spacious and the gathering spaces were perfect for our family. Would recommend to anyone looking for a house in the Fairfax area!

The space was exactly what we needed for a long-needed friend trip getaway! We will definitely work with Home Sweet City again if we are ever in the D.C. area again.

This place feels like home. A kitchen and a laundry room are all we need. The house is very spacious and has a great outdoor environment. This is a comfortable place. Gale responded to all questions promptly.

My wife and I stayed at Amy’s place for roughly a week while we moved into NVA. Her place was excellent and at a convenient location - short drive to the metro, lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and I really liked the peace of the woods behind the house. We definitely recommend staying here. Amy and was very proactive with offering assistance and recommendations, the apartment was clean and spacious, nice kitchen, and the bed was comfortable. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice location ten minute or less walk to DuPont Circle. Very spacious below street level apartment.

We spent 4 days site-seeing in DC and Lily's location was perfect, being just off the Richmond Hwy it was easy to get to by car. We paid an additional fee for parking under the building which was well worth it given the convenience. The Crystal City Metro station, with both the Yellow and Blue lines, was a very short walk away and could even be accessed via an underground walkway system just outside the building. Also just a block or two outside the building was a movie theatre and several bars/restaurants. Having breakfast on the 14th floor balcony was a great start each morning before heading to Metro to start the day's adventures. We would definitely stay here again.

Rebecca’s place was much bigger than we expected and had everything we needed. So happy that our dogs were able to stay with us! Beautiful, quiet neighborhood with a path nearby that lead to a playground and area to walk our dogs. Will definitely stay again!

We were so happy with this basement apartment and location. Robert was very helpful and responsive. Most days we drove to the mall parking garage near the Pentagon and took the metro from Pentagon City station to the Smithsonian station (the pre-loaded $30 card available online was perfect for our stay). Driving from the unit to Arlington took mere minutes. It isn't too far from Mt. Vernon either. The neighborhood is quaint and quiet. We would stay here again! The current pictures under sell the unit. We were very happy to find it was bigger than expected. It could use a little updating, but we didn't mind. All we did was sleep, eat some breakfast, and return each night with aching feet and legs from a typical day of walking D.C.

Great location near shopping in Tysons Corner. The place is in the lower living space of a nice home. It is well kept and has the space for a small family. The kitchen was perfect for my needs. I really enjoyed my time there and would definitely stay again if I was working in the area. The host was super responsive and took care of any questions I had!!

I will forever be grateful for the amazing weekend my wife and I spent at the Dulles Executive Resort. It was love at first sight when we checked in after an overwhelmed 5 hours red eye flight. We needed a secluded place to rest and it was far better than what we had hoped for even beyond a stretch of our imagination. Beside being conveniently located less than 10 minutes away from IAD, the DER offers so many amenities..Our host welcoming attitude left no room for reproach. Thank you Alexise for helping us check in more than 12 hours in advance. Your overall warm introductory remarks and the fact that you went beyond normalcy in order to accommodate your guests made our week end....Your unwavering commitment to excellence and definite touch of "bon chic, bon genre" is without a doubt what makes DER a beauty to behold, a place of exquisite workmanship. Great house with a fabulous pool! We enjoyed our time immensely. The decor is so fun! We had an issue with the tv the first night, and Kate had her handyman out the next day to fix it with zero interruption to us. Highly recommend!

The communication was great! Such an easy check in and check out! Neighborhood was quiet and close to several amenities! It was comfy and even though we weren’t there all the time it felt like home. We would definitely stay there again!!

In town for a family wedding in Nokesville. The house was a great gathering spot and a convenient drive to the wedding venue. Large spacious home!

This home is so tastefully decorated and comfortable. Even though it's an older home with original wood on floors and stairs, the wall finishes looks fairly fresh and the kitchen is all upgraded with current amenities. I was pleasantly surprised that it had a large backyard with lawn furniture, grass and trees. The sun room was so comfortable for seating and playing cards, and the office had a nice futon-type bed that folded out for extra sleeping space. The primary bedroom, walk in closet, and bath are super large and beautiful. Lots of restaurants were within a mile of the house, including a Trader Joe's. The only drawback was car sounds at night from Washington Blvd but we got used to it. During our reservation process, Aman addressed my many questions quickly and fully, particularly in terms of what they had for my 1 year old grandson (toys, high chair, port a crib). During our stay, we also communicated easily a few times as questions came up.
