Cabin holiday rentals in Falls of Rough

The cabin is beautiful. My family had a wonderful time. We can't wait to come back again.

This cabin was absolutely beautiful. It had everything we needed for our stay. It was just my husband, my adult daughter and me, but the space is very ideal for a larger family and very kid friendly. The location was close to Mammoth Cave, Horse Cave, Cave City, and Bowling Green, which were all places we visited while there. We enjoyed the Gothic tour at Mammoth cave and the tour at Hidden River Cave in Horse Cave. The guest contact, Beth, was very responsive to my questions and very sweet at giving us information on the area. The cabin itself is quite out there (in terms of location) but we don't mind that. We don't mind driving a ways in order to get a cabin that is comfortable and offers a nice location. Due to the recent flooding we didn't visit Nolan Lake and some other areas but KY never disappoints. It is a beautiful state and we will be back some day (been there twice now). I would highly recommend this stay. I was very pleased.

This was a great place for a big group. If you plan to make your own food, the kitchen has all the tools, dishes, pan, etc. - everything you need. The saloon was fun and the beds comfortable. Free firewood and a nice fire ring. Be aware that while it was close to the lake it was about a 40 minute drive to Diamond Cave and about 1 hour to Mammoth Cave visitors center. Scenic drive. Also, no restaurants, Walmart or large grocery store nearby that we could find. Some groceries at I65, about 1/2 hour away. We brought our own food and loved to quiet ambiance. I would definitely come back again.

The cabin is spacious and well decorated, so it feels like home from the very first step, and was an excellent place to unwind and reconnect.

The house was perfect for two small families! Our boys (two age 8 and 1 age 6) loved the bunk beds, pool table, and air hockey. The moms loved the hammocks on the back porch. The house was immaculate and Laine was very communicative. Great house! Great amenities! The trail to the lake's edge is very steep as described. The last part of the path is wooded as described, but it is worth noting that the lake's edge is also wooded and not an area to set up and enjoy the lake. Would most definitely stay here again!

We've stayed at a lot of cabins for fall and spring breaks with our kids & this is one of our absolute favorites! Everything was clean & comfortable, the hot tub is fantastic, and the layout of the house worked well for our family (kids in the basement, mom + dad in the upstairs master). There's an incredible amount of deck space (three levels!), and having coffee outside each morning was a highlight for me. The 18-hole disc golf course is a unique feature! My 7-year-old is just getting into disc golf, and we liked that we could just take him out to play a couple of holes at a time after spending the day doing other activities. A couple of things to know: (1) Grocery stores are few & far between in the area, so plan to bring most of what you need with you or to eat at local restaurants while you're out and about, (2) If you're visiting Mammoth Cave, look up information about the Green River Ferry -- not only is it a fun experience but it will save you a ton of driving time.

The Gnome Home was such an amazing place! We enjoyed the week spent here. Heather was an amazing host. We had all the amenities we needed, including more towels than we've ever had at an Airbnb (it was amazing). We loved chilling by the fire pit at night, and watching wildlife during the day (deer, turkey, owls). We can't wait to come back and visit again!

The cabin was clean and cozy and perfect for our family of four. The deck overlooking the ponds and pasture was awesome and the kids loved playing out there and watching the cows. We arrived pretty late at night and I was worried that we would have trouble finding or getting into our place but everything was very clearly marked and the whole property has great signage. Speaking of, this property is GORGEOUS. With multiple cabins, a lake, playground and beautiful hiking trail, we think this might be a perfect place for a larger family gathering in the next few years!

We really enjoyed our stay! We loved the cabin, perfect size for the 2 of us. It was so clean and neat and so peaceful! Great location, close to all the caves and other attractions and also other nearby towns.

Marissa was so responsive… and we were placed in the middle of Bluegrass country was simply amazing! I spent two days at Mammoth Caves National Park, and one day at the Bluegrass Music Hall of Fame, jamming with other musicians, and one day at the Bill Monroe museum and homeplace in Rosine, Kentucky… It was an amazing! adventure!

The house was perfect for our weekend away! Plenty of space both inside and outside. We went to Mammoth Cave and Louisville from here, and it was a relaxing home base.

The only problem we had was being willing to leave! This was by far the most amazing and perfect place we’ve ever stayed. All our needs were anticipated and met. House and location was perfect!

Trish was really friendly and she made sure I had several ways to contact her. She provides a lot of convenient starters like paper towels and plates and coffee, not just little samples like most places. The lake is beautiful and the fire pit was really comfy and the kids loved the s’mores. The blankets were really soft and the shower is really good! Thank you and I will happily stay with Trish again!!!!

This place is amazing! It is everything we wanted and more! It is in the most beautiful, private setting (and complete with a hammock). The inside is gorgeous, clean, and very tastefully decorated. Literally everything was perfect; but some of my favorite features included: 1.) Foam top mattresses! We slept so good! 2.) Raining shower head and instant hot water! 3.) The separate tub was perfect! 4.) My 8 year old LOVED the standing video arcade game downstairs! 5.) No expense was spared. Even the toilet paper was high quality! 6.) The games, books, and activities provided were great! 7.) The wrap around porch with gorgeous views! 8.) Three and a half bathrooms that felt perfect in every way. 9.) The windows that make you feel like you are outside in nature! 10.) We all felt like we were HOME. So, so comfortable and inviting. This is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in and I can’t recommended it enough! We would love to make this place part of our yearly vacation. Thank you so much!

A perfect cabin for our visit to Mammoth Cave! Super cozy, easy to find, and hosts were great. I would definitely recommend this spot for any National Park visitors!

My husband and a couple co-workers were in town for a month long job at a local papermill. We were presently surprised when we for this location so close to the job site, about 10 minutes. It was perfect, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and all the amenities of home, complete with a beautiful view of the river right off the deck. Steve was so attentive to all our needs, made everything from the reservation to checkout a breeze! Highly recommend this Airbnb, it's home away from home.

Beautiful Rustic home with lots of sleeping space. Had lots of useful utensils and pans for making Christmas dinner for the family. Peaceful porches for sitting and downstairs was very quiet every morning to just sit at the big table and look outside. Would be nice if there was a TV downstairs somewhere for watching Christmas movies since we had one person with a walker who could not climb the stairs to join the family for that but all worked out fine in the end. The peaceful time was a plus

Our stay started on a disappointing note, and I have to admit I was a bit worried about how the rest of the trip would go. But I have to give full credit to the host for how they handled the situation. As soon as I reached out, they were incredibly responsive and quick to address the issues. Their professionalism and willingness to make things right really turned everything around. By the end of our stay, the experience had completely shifted. The host’s attentiveness made us feel genuinely valued, and one moment, in particular, stood out. My daughter lost her favorite plush toy, and the host went above and beyond to help us recover it. That thoughtful gesture meant the world to us and truly made the stay memorable. Overall, while the beginning wasn’t ideal, the host’s care and effort made all the difference. Clean and comfortable! Our son loves all things Bigfoot, so this was a fun cabin. We enjoyed the deck and the fire pit.

A private secluded no frills, albeit well-worn & weathered, little off grid cabin in the pretty Amish countryside, but with solid beds, amazing camp stove, great propane heat etc. Bring firewood since most was damp there (or we couldn't find the drier wood pile of actual logs not woodshop lumber cuts) and we used extra duvets & pillows from our camper trailer for added comfort. Lots of outdoor space and even picketed fence around the cabin should your dog not have solid recall. Can't beat the beautiful surround of the woods & river below. Our running-breed dog loved it. Kids would love it too! Very peaceful. Exactly as described. Thanks for accomodating us!

Cute cozy cabin up in the woods. A perfect place to rest on our long road trip. Misty has really thought of everything you might need, the cabin is well stocked with lots of extras and fun things to do. We would definently stay again.

What can I say. The place was as nice as pictured. The host were very accommodating and would definitely recommend and come back
