Cottage holiday rentals in Faux-la-Montagne

We loved our stay, the cottage is very comfortable. The terrace and garden are really great for breakfast with the view of the valley which is beautiful. The sunset in the sun loungers… A beach by the river is a 15-minute walk away. Our dogs also enjoyed nearby walks. In short, the ideal stay.

Really lovely and cosy place. It was nice and cool inside which was a great bonus for us as it was a very hot weekend. Julien and Marine were friendly hosts.

Great weekend at Frédéric's, his accommodation was simply perfect for my friend, my dog and me. The accommodation is located in a small street with no passage, ideal for a relaxing weekend. Frédéric is very friendly, he knows his region and its history perfectly and will guide you on the beautiful things to do and see (Oradour, Lac Saint Pardoux, Le Roc d'Enfer, etc.) Thank you to him for his hospitality and kindness, we had a great weekend ☀️ Laurie, Sarah, and Loki.

What a fabulous gite in a wonderful location to explore the best of the Dordogne. 10 minutes from Terrasson, a beautiful old town on the river, spoilt for choice for great restaurants… or simple chilled evenings taking in the views. Jenny (& Fleur) is the perfect host, going above and beyond to ensure you have a perfect stay. Not intrusive but if you a fancy a glass of wine she will be on hand! (thank you for ours) We would return in a heartbeat and hopefully soon. Would highly recommend.

The accommodation rented by Agnès and Benoît perfectly matches its description and our expectations, very beautiful and clean with a very nice view and of course the jaccuzi, the owners were very pleasant and warm,very happy with our stay in Cantal

That was a wonderful stay. Fanny and the family were extremely welcoming. Despite our disorganization the welcome us in a warm manner, providing helpful support for a sick member of our trip. The place is amazing, truly peaceful, clean and relaxing. Sleep here is so long and refreshing! Totally recommend!

The managers who are very friendly have a lot of taste and the green spaces are very well maintained and very well thought out. If I have to go back to the area, I would not hesitate to return to these accommodations. I felt like I was in a setting.

We were very well hosted by Isabelle and her husband. The accommodation is as described, the spa and garden are real assets. The surroundings are peaceful, a place conducive to calm and rest. Do not hesitate to ask them for the right addresses, they will be able to advise you.

We had a great time at Amanda and David's with our friends. Amanda and David are very caring and friendly hosts. The house is very well-equipped. The decor is thoughtful. The rooms are spacious and pleasant. The pool is very beautiful. A very nice garden with ping pong table for the kids. Super quiet environment. We were also able to taste good pizzas made by David and Amanda. We are delighted with our stay.

Nice little house totally faithful to the descriptions: simple but functional and well maintained. 10 minutes from Salers, it is a perfect base to discover the Cantal. The place is quiet and the neighbors are very nice. We are happy vacationers 😀

Charm, that's the first thing that comes to mind with this property. The house has been lovingly renovated but has retained its originality. The garden is fenced (great for the dog!) and has various seating areas, so there is always a place in the shade. Shower is a bit cramped but pleasant. Beautiful surroundings. Recommended!

There is a reason that Pierre is classed a super host. He honestly can't do enough for his guests. Let's start with the house. It was fantastically an atypical French cottage, spotlessly clean and ideally located. Now for Pierre himself. What a true gentleman. Always there for advice and guidance if needed. He made our stay feel so very special. His knowledge on the surrounding location and history was so interesting. And one last thing. Make sure you eat where he recommends, because you will honestly not be disappointed. Le P'ti Bar was outstanding. Thank you Pierre & Martinne, we will be back !!!!!!

A beautiful cottage, very well designed for two families with young adults. Number of bathrooms and toilets totally appropriate and comfortable. Very pleasant house to live in that allowed us to have a great Easter weekend. The little attention (preparation to make cookies...delicious...)was much appreciated. Ingrid and her husband are very friendly. We will return to this cottage with great pleasure, it is an address that we retain!

In the middle of an atypical village, quiet, the accommodation is pleasant. You can leave the door open without worries. Cool in the heat...

Very good stay with Eric. The environment was very quiet, close to the hiking trails. Spacious and very well-equipped accommodation to stay a week (or more!) Great kitchen! We'll be happy to go back.
