The house has retained many wonderful character features, including wooden beams, exposed stonework and a stunning wood burning fireplace. Situated down a quite lane with no through traffic, the newly re-opened Lamb Inn pub just 100 steps from the house (with in house dining available) the house is perfectly placed for everything you need.

The Hen Hut is a warm, self contained annex in the grounds of Casio Cottage on the outskirts of Shilton, a quintessential English village. The medieval town of Burford is within walking distance. Shilton surrounds the Shil Brook and pond. It is mentioned in a document from 1205 as a small farming village. Later, it became a thriving farming community. The local pub, the Rose and Crown dates from the 1600s. The village was featured in the popular television series, Downton Abbey.

Self-contained Annex

Our self contained annex is on two floors with a separate entrance. The ground floor has a kitchen and dining space, with fridge/freezer, cooker & washing machine together with the basic cooking utensils, crockery & cutlery. The first floor contains the large bedroom and en-suite shower room. There is a standard double bed, wardrobe, desk & chair. WiFi is provided. Situated at the entrance to a quiet cul- de-sac there is a bus stop outside and the train station is a 15 minute walk away.
