This home is surrounded by oaks, maples, and walnut trees, so the birds are all around, along with other wildlife. Down the hill is the Middlefork, designated as a "National Scenic River".

Private entrance to the property includes a slightly steeper than normal staircase. The large bathroom (shower only) includes fridge, microwave, & K-Cup w/Starbucks coffee pods. Space not suitable for young children. No pets.

The house has a fully furnished large kitchen with a coffee bar. Two living areas provide plenty of space to stretch out. You can finish off your busy day gathering on the patio preparing dinner on the gas or charcoal grills, watching the sun set over the summer grain fields, or roasting marshmallows around the firepit.

We absolutely loved our stay at this charming one-bedroom retreat! The space was perfectly curated and beautifully decorated—every detail felt thoughtful and inviting. It was also spotlessly clean and incredibly comfortable, making it easy to relax and feel right at home. A true gem— we were in town for our son’s Univ of IL graduation. We visited the U.S. from Korea to attend our son’s graduation. Although we had lived in the U.S. years ago, staying in this peaceful, countryside home in Fisher was a new and special experience for us. It brought unexpected comfort and warmth. After a tiring trip filled with two graduation ceremonies and helping our children move, we were touched by the host’s warm welcome late at night. The cozy atmosphere of the home instantly relieved our fatigue. Though we couldn’t visit the nearby ice cream café due to our schedule, we truly enjoyed the peaceful drive from Urbana-Champaign and the beautiful scenery. We’d love to return someday with friends from Korea. Thank you for providing such a memorable and healing stay. This place will remain a precious memory for us.
