House holiday rentals in Gaasterland

We were there in June, four of us – despite the rain and colder temperatures, we were able to enjoy our stay thanks to the sauna and the heated pool, which was our highlight! We were very warmly welcomed, the accommodation is really great – we can only recommend it and will definitely come back. The adjacent forest is great for walking and Groningen and Leeuwarden are each just under 30 minutes away by car.

We had an excellent stay at Anneke’s place. The place was quite aesthetic as well as so convenient with an amazing garden. Our 3 year old daughter especially enjoyed the trampoline and the swing in the garden. The location was really apt, we could do day trips to Amsterdam, Zaanse Schans, Hague, Utrecht, Haarlem. Overall a lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful Holiday Home – Highly Recommended! We had an amazing stay! The house is very well equipped, spacious, and has a large, beautiful garden – perfect for relaxing. The hosts were extremely friendly and welcoming. We were allowed to use everything in the house, which made us feel right at home. The location is also great, with a supermarket nearby. We were completely satisfied and would definitely recommend this place to others!

We really enjoyed our stay in Willem's cottage. It is a beautiful cottage with a spacious garden. All amenities have been thought of. We were with our toddler (2.5) and baby (4 months) and found the cottage well equipped for this. The toddler could play on the trampoline all day and there were plenty of toys available. The cottage is also well insulated and can be cooled well. The park was neat and very quiet (in the low season, June). We were regularly the only ones in the pool, even in good weather. The playground was spacious and had a lot of different playground equipment. For shopping and cafes, you can drive to Ommen within 10 minutes. There are several fun activities to do, a visit to the mill was the highlight of the holiday for our toddler. From the cottage you can walk right into the woods. You can feel the peace and nature. We can recommend this cottage to everyone!

We had a great time in the tastefully furnished accommodation. Everything was very clean and well maintained. In particular, the kitchen equipment was great and we didn't miss anything. We immediately felt very comfortable and the hot tub was the absolute highlight.

We enjoyed the time very much and did many small bike rides. The accommodation is beautiful, quiet and very idyllically located. However, we would not stay in the property again with 5 adults. The loft bed is more suitable for children and unfortunately we were not able to sleep so well, as there was no air coming up under the roof at night (despite the open window) and it became very warm and stuffy. With children, you can definitely recommend the accommodation! :)

We had two beautiful days at the house. It is quiet. There are also two supermarkets in the village. There is a lot to do in the region. But the house also invites you to linger. Both saunas were really great. We'll be sure to recommend

Very nice, small cottage. Quietly located on a campsite. Equipped with everything you need, very clean, we lacked nothing. A car is needed to explore the surrounding area or bikes. There were also great playgrounds for our son on site and also an indoor space. Great. Gladly come back 😁

Absolutely wonderful house in an idyllic setting just short bus ride from Amsterdam. The photos don't do the house justice it is gorgeous . The kitchen is amazing and all the rooms beautifully decorated. The house has a very steep spiral staircase. Karel was a very kind and attentive host. We'd love to come back, stay longer and explore further afield.

We were personally welcomed by our nice hostess Anke and we enjoyed our stay very much. The great big kitchen , the beautiful outdoor area and the many different rooms were perfect for our large group. The location is great, right on the canal and everything is within walking distance. Thank you so much, we will be happy to come back.

Probably the best AirBnB we‘ve been to in the Netherlands! Absolutely amazing renovated traditional house that felt cosy and right at home. We were 4 adults and one child (aged 8). The hosts were kind enough to set an extra bed for my daughter, which was very comfortable. Very well equipped kitchen. We didn’t miss anything. Very quiet and private location and beautiful surroundings. The garden is very peaceful and there is even a water channel at the back! We‘re absolutely looking forward to staying here again soon.

A wonderful home with beautiful views. Has all the necessary facilities. And a nice host, who responded quickly and also let us know that we could enter the house earlier on the day of arrival. Repeatable.

We really enjoyed our stay in Yolande's apartment. It is modern and tastefully decorated and very spacious. There is a very nice atmospheric lighting, all the facilities you need. It is particularly tidy and neat. The communication with Yolande went smoothly and was very friendly. We received a warm welcome with, among other things, a delicious soup. We had a nice and undisturbed weekend. I'd recommend to anyone!

We spent a wonderful weekend at René's accommodation. Fantastic accommodation in a fantastic location. Lovely and modern furnishings. Bright, with a beautiful view of the garden and water. Great terrace by the water. Outstanding equipment, cooking island, Quooker, grill, to name just a few. The cat Flo completes the whole. She enjoys the presence of the guests very much. Very good communication with the host and nice conversation with the neighbor when handing over the keys. The whole idyll is disturbed only by the ringing of the church bells during the night, a pity, but the host can do nothing about it. Since the temperatures have now risen quite high over Corpus Christi (about 30 degrees), you had to have the bedroom windows open at night, so the ringing was particularly disturbing.

We had a great stay. The place has everything you need and is well located with beautiful surroundings. We would definitely recommend and wish we could have stayed longer!

We had a wonderful and relaxing stay at Aukje's house. The house is very well equipped. We also particularly liked the beautiful south terrace by the water. Bicycles and boats could be rented from Aukje. She was always available for questions. There is much to discover in Lemmer and the surrounding area. We will be back for sure!

My girls and I have been very excited about the beautiful place Lemmer. The place was very bright, modern and welcoming. I'm sure you'll notice a few things on closer inspection, but that didn't hurt the overall impression. We were surprised how central the place was. A club just around the corner, supermarkets can even be reached on foot in a few minutes. Restaurants, small cute shops and also the beach are not far away and can be reached in 2-10 minutes. The double bunk beds are unfortunately very uncomfortable, but the double bed is amazing ! Tessa was always quick to reach and always helped you quickly. We definitely recommend the place. A visit to Lemmer is a must-see.

We had a wonderful time at Anthony’s apartment. The location is fantastic - very walkable to many attractions and restaurants but on a peaceful and quiet street. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom was nice and dark - great for jet lag. We didn’t make use of the kitchen or outdoor space, but that was nice as well. Anthony and Zino were very responsive and gave lots of good suggestions for local restaurants and cafes. We would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful apartment and everything was also clean and tidy. Communication was pleasant. Sufficient crockery and utensils in the kitchen. Comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms and bathroom. And the roof terrace completed it. Nice environment. Have rented a boat at 'De broek' 6pp electric sloop for 150 euros. Eating at De spot was also good and affordable.

Our stay in the beautiful vacation home was great! It had everything you need. Patricia responded quickly to messages. Thanks also for the flexible check-in and check-out :) It would have been good to know beforehand that two large towels were missing, then we would have brought some ourselves. Otherwise, everything is great and highly recommended!
