The market house is a historic gem and is protected as a monument, designated as the first hostel in Saxon Switzerland. The house frames the market square in the reflection of the market church below the castle ruins on the romantic Painter's Way. Vaulted cellar and foundations date back to 1527. The main house was built in 1734 and operated as a relaxation area, a post office and a tavern. In 1850, a massive extension in the classicist style took place. Röhringer ran the Hotel Sächsische Schweiz here.

Our cozy apartment "Zaukennest" is located in our half-timbered house with separate entrance. The house is located in the 2nd row on the slope directly on the forest and is only accessible via steps. The towing nest is designed for 2 persons, simple extra bedding is exceptionally possible. A set of linen (bed linen/towels) can be booked for a flat rate of EUR 25 (own purchase). The private parking is about 250m away. Downtown and ferry dock: 5-10 min. Train station by ferry: 20 min.

The newly renovated 70sqm apartment is located on the first floor of a house on a hillside in the small village of Schöna, 6km from Bad Schandau, 200m from the forest. Apart from windows and doors, only natural materials were used. It is heated by a stove that can also be used for cooking and baking. In addition, an electric 2-plate cooking hob is available. Small, cozy apartment with large, usable garden located on the south side of the fortress Königstein. Well suited for families with 2 small children, but of course all others are welcome too! In the house there is a fireplace for the cool days and in the garden you can barbecue or just enjoy the great starry sky at night. There are plenty of climbing and hiking opportunities in the area.
