Monthly Rentals in Great Dunmow

The loveliest little gem of a place! We had the best time here, the bed was one of the best that we’ve had - both slept so well. Looks small in the pictures but really doesn’t feel like it. The village is lovely, lots of shops and restaurants. Wouldn’t hesitate to come back.

Spent 3 nights in this lovely 2 bedroom static caravan, with en suite & separate bathroom. We had everything we needed incl. loo rolls, bed linen and towels. Our hosts kindly provided us with bottles of water and lager. On our first evening, we sipped our cool lager outside while enjoying the beautiful sunset - we had a wonderful view of the surrounding fields. Our birdsong app picked up 8 different types of birds - including a woodpecker - within 5 minutes! Driving on the local lanes we had a fox, a hare, and an adder cross the road in front of us. The location is very secure - you drive through two electric gates to reach the caravan. We stayed here as we were attending a course at Stansted Hall (23 mins) and visiting friends in Harlow (32 mins). Although close to Stansted Airport, there was very little airplane noise. Thank you to our hosts for being so helpful and responsive. TOP TIP: the postcode brings you straight to the location, just phone Sam on arrival.

It was absolutely wonderful. Everything was spotless and smelled great. All the facilities were in excellent condition. The lodge had a large, beautiful yard with a private entrance, and the hosts were incredibly kind and respectful. Overall, it was an excellent place to stay—I highly recommend it!

Interesting to compare and contrast this delightful airbnb with a town offer. Difficult to find initially, easy when you know how! But worth the effort. Beautifully located in farming countryside with various walks available in nearby arable fields. The property is attached to a barn, with outside seating, perfect for an early morning cuppa or evening sundowner. Cathanne is deservedly a super host! Welcoming, attention to detail and guests needs. The property is immaculate and well equipped. With outside parking. Have no hesitation in recommending both Cathanne and property.
